Penny's Beer Garden — Restaurant in Dickinson

Fun for the entire family! We visited Pennys on a Saturday, attended the outdoor yoga class (all ages welcome), big bonus: the outdoor playground is on the same yard as the yoga class, my toddler was entertained for hours which meant mama got to put her feet up and enjoy the fresh air under the shaded trees.

I shopped at the farmers market for fresh eggs, jam, sweet treats and other holistic home made products.

Afterwards my son and I got our hands dirty in the garden planting greens and flowers (what more can a three year old ask for?!) Pennys garden is inclusive to families with children of all ages, which is a rarity these days.

This place is a gem, one I wish I could bring back to California with me.

Quaint little hole in the wall beer garden just minutes from I-45. They feature a pretty good selection of beer and wine with both inside and outside seating. Food is provided by food trucks which was pretty good today! The Shepherd Mix Food Bar was on site when we visited. The burger and birria tacos were amazing! They have a garden on site and sell fresh vegetables daily as well as have local vendors on the weekends. Today they had an amazing couple Ross & Janet owners of Rise & Shine Farm & Ranch selling a variety of homemade preserves, pickles, and salsas. Penny’s Beer Garden is a great place to enjoy a cold beer, hang out with friends, and play with your pup. This place is kid and dog friendly. The owners go above and beyond for their customers. I really enjoy going in the garden and seeing all the fruits and veggies. They recently put in a beehive that I am super excited for. Their outdoor space is HUGE so plenty of room to social distance during this pandemic. All of their staff wears their mask correctly which makes me feel safe coming to their establishment.
