Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Dodge City

My husband and I stopped here for a late night meal. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted. The cashier, Charity, was absolutely awesome. She was very helpful with menu suggestions. She also informed us of the items not on the menu.

Honestly, I was on the edge of not ordering because I eat only selective items. But without hesitation she offered me an off the menu suggestion. I ordered a cajun chicken breast w/ biscuit. Everything was fresh and the cajun seasoning was a great option. My husband ordered the Big Jack's combo meal, which is a double burger. He said that his burger was good and fresh.

The resturant was clean and well taken care of. The bathroom was clean and refreshing.

After, receiving our food the cashier bided us with a great fare welln as she thanked us for stopping by to eat.

Even if it wasn't for the fact that the food was good I would absolutely have to say that Jack's exceeded my expectations because of excellent customer service experience.

First, let me start by saying that I completely understand being short staffed. There are things to do to try and mitigate the short staffing. Jack's does none of those things. The average DRIVE THRU wait time is pushing 20 minutes. 20 freaking minutes for drive thru! You would think with all the time they have between taking the order and handing it out the window, they would at least have the order right. Nope. I had small size drinks when I ordered large. Same for the hashbrowns. Small when they should have been large. I handed the drinks back and advised that they were supposed to be large. They then handed me a cup WITH A HOLE IN IT. No way they could have missed it..... the hole was facing the girl when she handed it to me, steady leaking tea. Jack's in Dodge City used to be great. The last 3 weeks have been ridiculously awful with the amount of incompetence and complete lack of caring about it. I will not be going back, ever, and wouldn't recommend them if they were the last...

This was the absolute pit of hell as far a fast door comes. We are from Huntsville- driving home from knee surgery. All I wanted was an Oreo shake from Jacks. There was ONE person in from of us in the drive thru and no one else behind us. Woman told us to hold a moment- took forever. We order and they “aren’t going doing shake right now because there’s only two of us”. So we order meals. Absolutely nothing on burgers not even the extra pickles I asked for. Woman told us that she decided they aren’t doing shake because of the wait time even tho WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE!! In the amount of time she was coming up wi the excuses she could have corrected our order and make about a dozen shakes. Barely any liquid in our drinks- all ice. Decide we’re going to use the restroom (again knee surgery, on crutches, from out of town) when we get to the door it’s locked. No signs or anything. So thankful this isn’t our normal Jacks.
