This is a beautiful restaurant. We came to celebrate a very, very special occasion and intended to spend over $100 for 2 for steak dinners, which we did. But I didn't feel the quality of the steaks were worth 30 and 40 some dollars each. The flavor was great but they were chewy, even at medium rare. The sides weren't special- green beans and loaded baked potato, eh. However, the fries my son got were phenomenal as well were the cheesecake and fried pickles. The berry sauce with the cheesecake was the standout of the meal. The employee (manager?) who spent our entire meal having random conversations with the customers at the table two down was distracting and definitely made our night less special.
Pictured is my meal.
*Edit
Scrolling down more, I found two other reviews that specifically mentioned staff having conversations with other tables as a negative to their experience yet the response I received was that no one else has complained about it. 🙄 Maybe don't treat your restaurant like a cliquey club. Maybe don't make customers feel like they're intruding in your home. 🤷♀️ The whole conversation at tables thing is outdated. People go out with their loved ones to spend time with THEM, not the restaurant staff. A few minutes? Fine. The time it took to order, receive and eat apps-mains-dessert? Jesus... 🥱
I didn't specify what my son and I were celebrating but it was the anniversary of him surviving very aggressive cancer. It marked that he is in CURED status, a survivor. I didn't want to hear about you building a deck or the absurdity that you didn't know who Huey Lewis is.
Also, "deal"? 🤣 I said I expected to pay over $100 and I did. It was closer to $200, thank you. It is not a complaint but I was stating facts and you twisted them.
*Have since been to Casey's Cowtown. Atmosphere was lacking but the meat was leaps and bounds better for half the price! Plus the calf fries...
Read moreThis place came highly recommended.I am worried about the people of dodge cities taste buds. Over priced. Undercooked. The poke bowl was and arugula salad with poor tasting dirty salmon laid on top. Our chicken wings were chicken nuggets, drowned in Chicken wing sauce. I don’t know and what in the US foods microwave steamtable you guys are doing, but you need to stop. It is a crime to steal peoples money like that Dodge city. You were paying 400 to 500 the cost of what it takes for them to make it. Just because they write chef on the chalkboard Doesn’t mean they are actually a chef. A potato should be cooked all the way through and not crunchy and it should be bigger than a half of a small potato potato. I can pick up french fries from Walmart in a generic brand and still make them taste better. Save your money go to Applebee’s it’s not that great but it’s 1000 times better than this place. Oh, you didn’t fool me with your previous Frozen moose cheesecake nobody should pay more than four dollars for this. Roughly several thousand dollars my husband’s company pays to feed their guys. They will no longer be using you if I have to cater them and drive up from out of town I will. Mr. manager I read your replies back on yelp. A snarky reply with a petty attitude won’t work with me. Your Replies are rude. I know $10,000 is probably not a lot to you guys but at least it can be re routed to another business with customer service. And then, if you had up to 70 guys, then I’m gonna be telling to no longer eat there. It’s gonna add up fast and you’re gonna ask. Why are your revenues down? Stop ordering from US foods and stop microwaving your food and steam tables do it no justice. And you can’t use this is a small town as an excuse. I’m from a town of 635 and I know seven-year-olds that can cook circles around...
Read moreMy wife and I dined at Prime on the 9 for an early anniversary celebration, and overall, it was a memorable evening. We had a 5:45 PM reservation and were seated right on time.
I ordered the Wagyu Denver steak with mushrooms and roasted garlic rosemary potatoes, while my wife chose the cordon bleu with mashed potatoes.
Unfortunately, my initial steak was unexpectedly tough—so much so that I couldn’t even chew the first few pieces, and one piece couldn’t even be pierced with a fork. At my wife’s suggestion, I politely asked the waiter to try stabbing into it himself, which he did without hesitation.
About 12 minutes later, a new steak arrived—and what a difference. It was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It was one of those dishes you find yourself thinking about an hour later. Absolutely worth the wait.
My wife’s cordon bleu and mashed potatoes were excellent—perfectly prepared and generously portioned. The mushrooms were fresh and savory, and while I expected mashed potatoes with my meal, the roasted garlic and rosemary potatoes came out as wedges. That small surprise aside, everything tasted great.
The ambiance was just right: clean, orderly, and calm despite a couple of large groups nearby, including a birthday party. I appreciated seeing the management keeping a watchful eye, making sure everything ran smoothly.
This experience was very much in line with our previous visit when I enjoyed the grilled salmon. We’ll definitely...
