Marty's Pizza — Restaurant in Donora

First time. -been hearing about red-top pie for years. It did NOT disappoint!

Large Pizza in the box must've weighed 8 pounds! Every slice was like 2 slices of anybody else's pizza.

GREAT fresh cheese... The crust was beautifully crisp on the edge. The sauce had just the right amount of acidity and spice to it.

The owner Marty was friendly and kind. Brought the pizza to the table himself. A fun dude to talk to.

Followed his recommendation of heating the leftover pizza (which there was a TON of, because it's SO FILLING!) in the air-fryer (350° - 8 min) was just as good. -heck, even a cold slice was great too.

The fryer and grill were jamming and it all smelled great. Looks like I'll be back to try something else next time. So the food looked and smelled great.

Clean restaurant, but minimal seating... Your typical neighborhood pizza shop vibe in all the right ways.

I ordered a chicken salad a pizza , cheeseburger , buffalo chips and I order every week multiple tines never had an issue today 4-20-2019 there was a splitered bone in my salad it cut my mouth apart my pizza wasnt even cut they tried to get the bone and salad and offered $7.95 as a refund not the $27 my order was meanwhile I have pictures of the blood salad and bone and then was hung up on by the female that was "in charge" she blamed the place that the chicken came from very unoroffessional and rude I will never give them another penny be careful if you order anything from them my 4 year old wanted a bite of the salad thank the lord I was hungry and told him no , no dinner no full refund me being treated poorly I cant wait to speak...

Was in Donora working on a crew when we crested a hill and saw Marty's ahead of us. I'd been there 7yrs prior and told the guys we should stop there to grab something to eat. I was definately NOT disappointed because the pizza was really, really good. In fact Martys pizza is better than anything around the area. Their menu is varied, the prices are affordable, and the atmosphere is "old-time good," something lost on the majority of pizzareas today.
