We have been going to Rolen’s for as long as I can remember! Always use their petit fors for Baby showers, birthdays etc. I sent an email with a picture of a cake, then called and spoke to the decorator (I only wanted the bottom tier) and was told ABSOLUTELY she could make this cake to go along with the petit fors I ordered for a birthday. I get there to pick it up and this is what I was given. I was SHOCKED! I asked if it could be fixed and the response “well I can make it navy but you won’t like that either!” Absolutely ZERO customer service! BEWARE of special orders! No wonder they want you to pay in advance! Left me scrambling trying to have another cake made for my daughter’s birthday! That will be my last visit to Rolen’s. Read moreWell! I walked into the bakery looking for some FRESH brownies and they ONLY had dry looking brownies. You know, the kind that’s been sitting for a few days. I want to say they had like 12 or 14. So, I left and about 30 minutes later I called to place an order. I asked her how long will it take to make a fresh batch and she said hold on for a few minutes. Came back to the phone and said that she can have them ready by today (within an hour) so I said perfect! It was two o’clock and pick up was at three o’clock. We pulled in early to wait because I was in the area. I walked in and noticed that the brownies I saw from walking in earlier were gone. So he went to get my order and I asked him, “can I see!?” Just to see they were the OLD BROWNIES from earlier! I wasted a whole hour because they ASSURED me that I was going to get FRESH brownies. Read moreClose friend told me of this place (though he did warn me about potential sub-par customer service, I was thinking lets not let one bad apple spoil the bunch) so I gave them a try - Not sure if we will be going back. Just a horrific experience with their unfriendly employees. Very disappointing. Looked like someone was getting trained but BOTH the trainer and the trainee need to entirely be re-trained by someone more professional and someone who knows how to 1) greet customers (made eye contact, not a word) 2) offer help (stood looking at the display without any of them even acknowledging) and 3) check out customers in order (as we stood there seeking help, they proceeded to check out someone else who was in line behind us).
