This is the worst service I’ve ever had in my home town. It’s been 10 yrs since I’ve come home from the west coast. I walked in. No one even acknowledged my existence. Though other customers mostly the gringos got noticed, and acknowledge straight away. There was no signage to wait to be seated or seat your self. So I grabbed a seat hoping to make eye contact like the couple did just before me. They got greeted right away and as for me? Still and nada????
I saw someone grab a menu way over at the register so I did the same. I Still couldn’t make eye contact with my primos from over the border.
No one bothered to look up and scan for new customers that hadn’t even been greeted.
So it’s off to Agua Prieta for lunch again. They always at least greet you when you come just to at least feel welcomed. Not sure where this group is from. For some reason I’ve noticed the paisas starting to provide poor service up and down the west coast all the way up the Pacific Northwest. Things were different 70’s 80’s, 90’s, early 2000’s
The atmosphere at this place is Disgusting!
This is my home town. It was never like this in the past. It was my First time here. I was waiting for my date too. Y agora me vale Madre a regresar a este sitio tan mal respetosa a mi raza. (Now I could care less at this disrespectful (to my ppl) and such poorly trained place). Where’s the social graces gone to???
Never again. Oh it was 2pm Xmas break on a Friday it was Not so busy.
If you read the review from a year ago , apparently another customer reported the exact same experience as Myself. So this rude behavior is not new. Management has ALOT...
Read moreThe restaurant is clean, bathrooms are OK. However, the food and service leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, when we arrived another table was attended before us even though we had arrived before. Salsa and chips didn't made it to our table till10-15 AFTER our drinks had been brought. After our order has been taken, it took about 10-15 minutes for the food to arrive, partly. Myself, my son and daughter had ordered tacos each, not a difficult dish to be honest. Well, half of my and my son's food arrived, cold. My food and my daughter's took another 5-10 minutes to arrive, only to be wrong. It had cilantro and onions and she specifically ordered without. Back it went, 5 minutes late it arrived. In, so the food it's here, everything should be OK, right? Well, the tacos we had ordered were of asada, which was old and chewy. Imagine meat that's been sitting in the grill 20-30 before being served (which in retrospect I think that's why those arrived first, because the meat was already cooked from before), was old and waaaay past what would be considered crispy. Menu can use better descriptions of the dishes being served as well as a more ample choice of salsas. Rice and beans were about the only think that was OK. It may sound harsh, but to be fair, there was 2 other tables...
Read moreThis is a place I go when I want a sit down Mexican restaurant that isn't Tex-Mex. The food is very good, I had the chile rellenos, something I've not had in years, and the atmosphere is nice. The only concern I have is that the staff isn't very attentive. Of course it is run by a family, and the parents don't speak much English. Being bilingual that isn't an issue for me, but my wife isn't, and so I have to initiate any and all contact. Plus, the last time my wife and I went before this was about 3 years ago. At that time, when the waitress found out that I, a white guy, spoke spanish and my wife, a Mexican, does not, she was pretty cold. That was not the case this most recent time, but it has made a lasting impression with me...
