I recently had to do a round-trip Cheyenne to Gillette and Gillette to Cheyenne road trip. This was a long and monotonous drive, and of course, during long drives, you always gotta stop off at a place to use the restroom. On the return trip back to Cheyenne, I stopped here, and I'm glad I did. It's such a cool gas station/ mart. Really really neat place. They sell an assortment of stuff. I especially loved all the local stuff they sold like the different types of chile, salsa, jams, and BBQ sauces. They also have bakery items like donuts and big cinnamon rolls. Even though i didn't buy an, i did think their pizza looked good that they made from their little cafe that was there. Lots of Wyoming souvenirs and western items as well. I was that impressed with everything they sold that after I walked out, I walked back in after less than a minute to make sure I didn't want anything else and to also give everything a look over again. This place came really close to getting a five-star rating from me. It was definitely a 4.75 rating. The only thing that stopped me from giving it a 5 was the customer service. It wasn't too bad, but they could have been a tad more friendly. The cashier I talked to just didn't really feel like she wanted to be there. Overall, though, it was a really good visit. I can't wait to stop here again and buy more...
Read more6/28/23 @ around 510pm I stopped in to pick up some items for my shift at work. I stop in everyday since I work right outside of Douglas and never had an issue until today. Yesterday I ordered the shark bite from the deli and it was delicious so I wanted another one for today. Well I waited at the counter to order a 8” pizza and a sandwich for lengthy period of time while an off duty employee was talking to the on duty employee as we was cutting chicken and breaking up cheese. The two were talking about girls and dropping the “F” bomb quite often. I then passive aggressively asked is this where I order my food from. They said sorry and then the guy cutting chicken looked back at another employee and said something like “it’s your turn to help cause I got the last 3 orders”. While they were trying to decide on who was going to assist me I decided it wasn’t worth my time and that I’ll never get that 15-20 min back I waisted getting food. I’ve never had an issue ever ordering food here but today was problematic cause I had to be somewhere and I wasn’t going to wait to be helped and even argued over who was going to assist me… just...
Read moreStopped here twice today, once on the way up north and again on our way back home.
First time was just for road tripping snacks but couldn't resist their adorable gift and holiday section. Super cute store, I love all the holiday decorations, it's cozy in there.
Second was just bit ago for a quick dinner. Staff was extremely friendly, the folks in the deli/grill were vey informative and made us feel welcomed. We didn't have high expectations with it being a fuel station deli but the food was GREAT! We got steak fingers, the shark bite sandwich and the Philly! The Philly was our most favorite. Oh and their ketchup is amazing! We didn't ask but are pretty sure they make in house.
And before we left to get back on the road we had to grab a coffee from their little shop, it did not disappoint. She was friendly and made a dang good cup of coffee. My husband, a tough critic when it comes to coffee got the Caramel Mocha and loved it.
Good ol friendly service seems hard to find during these time with all that is going on in the world so it was truly a breath of fresh air.
This will forever be a stopping point when...
