Have you ever eaten a Jack's frozen pizza? Dan's Pizza honestly tastes like a slightly better Jack's pizza. It reminds me of the pizza you'd get in the cafeteria in middle school. Cheese not fully melted, sauce poking through little gaps. The crust on the edge was nice in some spots, but the center crust was kinda chewy. Sausage was bland, not seasoned very well. You have no idea how much my buddy and I wanted to love this pizza, but it honestly misses the mark. I have no clue how it has a 4.7 score on Google. Maybe it tasted better years ago, but now it tastes and feels like it's being made by a buncha minimum wage high school kids. No love or passion. Just 'okay' pizza. Sorry, Dan. I know you can do better.

Edit: Hi! I saw that the owner replied and I didn't see a way to respond without adding another review, so hopefully you see this response here. It was my first time visiting Dan's after hearing how good it was for years, so I don't know how consistent these issues may or may not be. To clarify, the pizza is not BAD by any means, but it lacks depth and character. I know that might sound so rude, but all I can do is be honest about my experience. 5 more minutes in the oven could have made a huge impact on our opinion, but we can't be sure. The sauce would still taste like a Jack's frozen pizza. I brought leftovers to my dad and he also agreed it tastes like Jack's. When I said it, he pointed at me wide-eyed and said "you nailed it, that's exactly what it tastes like, just a bit better."

I really do hope it was just an off night, but I'm very happy to hear you taking this feedback seriously and considering to improve the training of your staff. Walking in there, the energy felt really down and low. All the kids behind the counter looked as if they couldn't wait to go home. The curly headed kid that helped me was super nice, though. Maybe play some music in the kitchen, create a more fun atmosphere to work in. I don't know! I just hope that you guys keep trying to improve and make your product the best it can be. Dan's pizza is way better than a lot of other local spots, but I still can't score it higher than a 3/5. I WANT you guys to shine and be a great pizza spot. In this world where small businesses are struggling and corporations are reigning supreme, we need the local restaurants and pizza joints to prove what makes them special and why they're worth supporting over Papa John's and all those cheap, bullcrap establishments.

Aim high, keep shooting for better quality. I guarantee that me and my buddy will be back in a month or two just to see if the experience improves at all. That'll be fun for us...

I used to drive by Dans Pizza for my old job. After I recently moved to Naperville (inches from the Naperville country club!) I knew I had to give this place a shot. My personal opinion is that this is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. I lived downtown Chicago prior to Naperville and this beats anything I tried there (Lincoln Park, West Loop, Lakeview). The Dans special is a knockout and my food guru friend says the BBQ pizza is the best for the style he’s ever had. My only ding is their delivery service area - they won’t deliver to my house even though it’s less than 10 mins away. I still ask every time I call just to provoke them to reconsider their...

I’ve only recently tried their pizza a few times. I was hesitant because they don’t have online ordering and I’ve found it difficult when I’ve called other places to place an order. Either I sit on hold forever or they mess up the order. This place is excellent taking the order and the pizza is just as good! The gentleman who’s answered the phone each time is so incredibly kind. My last pizza was just a baby veggie with pepperoni on half. It was perfect and delivered hot! If I had to say something negative, it would be that they only use boxes and not paper bags. I very much prefer...

Overall, I would give this place a 4.5. Plenty of parking. Takeout or delivery only. Service was good. Employees are very friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable and moderate. I got a 12” small bbq special with mushrooms and garlic crust added. Pizza was fresh and hot when I received it. There were tons of toppings. I would have liked to see more garlic in the crust when I bite into it. Garlic flavor/smell was a little difficult to detect. Other than that, I really enjoyed the crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and the bbq sauce wasn’t too overpowering.
