mojo's east coast eats — Restaurant in Downers Grove

Went on a Saturday around 11:30 in the morning, was surprised to see nearly all the tables full with diners for an early lunch. I ordered at the counter for a to - go, a hoagie and a cheesesteak. The wait was beyond long, and after 2 customers who had ordered after me had been served and left with their food I asked when was my number going to be called? The girl working the counter went in back and asked about the sandwich for #15 - then came and told me someone else had taken it, and they were making a new one. She apologized for the error but no offer of any soda or a cookie for the delay and wait. Unpacking the sandwiches and bags in the car was a bummer we had fries that were bagged up when the hoagie was made, not even edible and cold as at that point the were nearly 30 minutes old.

I guess I expected more - present your best attempt at providing a solid dining experience for your customers. The prices are not cheap and to be served cold fries, and a cheesesteak that I waited 20 minutes for that looked like the meat was measured and the portions were very light for the awesome roll did not live up to my expectations at all. We have a business in Lisle and were super stoked to have a new lunch place, perhaps even a big office order would be placed in the near future. The food is great, but the service here is not. I’ve been coming to mojos for a few years now. But recently over the last couple months every time I order from mojos they forget a detail of my order every single time. And it’s very irritating. They have forgotten fries, cheese on sandwiches, and dipping sauces. Today 2/15/24 I thought to check before leaving the parking lot. I ordered a Buffalo Philly steak and asked for mozzarella cheese and ranch on the side. I even went a step further to put it down in the special instructions box so they wouldn’t forget. But, what a surprise they forgot…once again. So I go back in. Politely tell them my sand which didn’t have any mozzarella on it which is what I had on my order. 2 minutes later employee comes back out. They gave me the lightest little dusting of shredded mozzarella on my sandwhich. Didn’t even have the courtesy to warm it up and melt it in. So i left in disappointment. I strongly believe there needs to be a huge turn around at this location when it comes to making sure employees are not missing the details of orders. Even though I love the taste of the food. For the price you pay here to have details of an order missing is unacceptable and not worth it if this is gonna keep happening. I placed an order, I then waited for around 5 minutes before about 15 people poured in. My food was still not ready. The aloof cashier took orders for about another 5 minutes, and i noticed my food finally come up. It was placed on the table behind him. The aloof cashier continued taking people's orders for another 5 minutes, and at this point i asked him if i can have my food. He waved me off, and proceeded to take 4 more orders while my food sat there. At this point i had ordered around 20 minutes ago and my food had been sitting directly behind him for about 10. Even his coworkers were telling him to hand it out and he waved them off like he knew better. This clown then looked over at me, and proceeded to pass out the other 20 orders in the restaurant, right to there tables, as i watched in horror as my food continued to sit there. At this point I decided he had to be doing this deliberately. Why I don't know. I demanded a refund which took this clown 5 minutes to figure out, got it, and left. All in all i spent almost a half hour in here for no reason other than to watch a failing business run itself into the ground. Place was dirty and overly cluttered too. Filthy and disgusting. This...
