Yujo is a realm of enchantment, a place steeped in such rich history and wonder that capturing its essence in a single word feels almost impossible. Yet, if I were to attempt the feat, that word would undeniably be “magical.”
From the moment you step through Yujo’s doors, you are thrust into a world brimming with possibility. Here, you must make a choice of great consequence—one that may shape the trajectory of your fate. Will you descend to the bustling, lively depths of the downstairs or ascend to the serene, almost otherworldly sanctuary of the upstairs?
Downstairs, fortune beckons the daring. Here, dreams of glory are woven into the fabric of every moment. Perhaps you will become the legend who claims the elusive ten-million-dollar prize—an event so rare it’s whispered about with awe. But for those seeking solace and subtle wonders, the upstairs lounge offers a portal to a different kind of magic.
As a devoted traveler of the upstairs realm, I can attest to its unparalleled charm. If you seek heartfelt company, divine flavors that linger on your soul, and a level of service that feels almost celestial, look no further. Begin your journey with the quintessential Spicy Thai Chicken lunch special—a timeless classic, as reliable as the rising sun. Pray for the blessing of a “three wonton day,” a rare and delightful omen of good fortune.
But for the bold, those yearning to brush against the extraordinary, let me guide you to the Dry Pepper Chicken. This iconic dish is an adventure of fire and flavor, a symphony of spices that will haunt your palate in the most delicious way.
Wherever your culinary journey takes you, the upstairs promises you a flawless experience, with waitstaff who seem to possess an uncanny gift for knowing precisely what you need, and a pace that ensures you’ll be back in time for your 1:30 PM meeting—though you may find yourself longing to linger.
Yujo transcends mere time and space, its allure outshining even the rival establishment down the street, the humble River Edge.
So, wanderer, heed this advice: only step into Yujo if your heart is prepared to embark on an unforgettable odyssey. It is a place where memories are etched into eternity and where magic is not merely...
Read moreThe atmosphere is not the greatest but it isn’t the worst, This place was my go to spot for some years. I grew very fond of, to which I was going at least once a week up until about the first week of February, when I had some Crab Rangoon‘s that tasted a little off but I thought maybe it was me. Regardless Of what I normally tip very well. today is the only time I didn’t have cash for a tip and the waiter, which is an older lady with glasses that we have everytime, says “what no tip”. My daughter replied “sorry no” her demeanor changed as soon as she seen the receipt. before she even asked, almost standing at the end of the table so we couldn’t move out. with their food going downhill fast and with the server being rude I will never go back, and with the server is being rude I can’t see people going there...
Read moreThe service by the staff is superb but the food itself is an absolute rip off. The sushi rice is tasteless and bland, the sashimi was such a pitiful amount that I can't believe I paid $6 for it, our bento box steak was inedibly overcooked, and the scrawny slivers of fish given to me for sushi were of incredibly poor quality.
I will bring my business elsewhere. Other Asian restaurants in the area provide far better value. I wish I had taken a photo of the pinky-sized scrap of pickled mackerel I was given for "sashimi." It was the size of a single sashimi slice sold elsewhere, cut into three pieces. Each bit was smaller than my pinky.
If they can fix the problem of the lousy food quality, the attentiveness of the staff would be a...
