So I live with in a mile of el patron, as such I was eating from there at least 4-5 times a month spending around $150-$250 a month at this place and there food was never great but it's good and it's very close by my house. I've never felt really welcomed in the restaurant but what happened the other day was next level despicable. I was driving by there when my 4 year old child shouted he had to go potty and being at the intersection right in front el patron I thought as much as I've eating there over the past 2 and a half years itd be no problem if I ran in real quick and keep my child from having an accident on his self and maybe I'd order something before I left. When I went into the door we shot straight for the restroom and as I was waiting outside the bathroom door and employee came up to me and asked me if I seen the sign on the door that says restroom for paying customers only and I told him I didn't and before I could even say I was planning on order something he told me to get my child out of his restroom and never come back to his restaurant. Once again I tried to explain to him I was planning of order something and he just got louder, yell at me to leave then proceed to chase my 4 year old child and myself into the parking lot and almost all the way to my car shouting at me to never come back. My child cried all the way to the grocery store and as we past the restaurant on the way home he look at it and started crying again till we got home. I will never spend another dollar at this place and will tell every person I can how rude the staff is and not to ever eat there. I've never been treated so meanly and don't know how anyone could be so nasty toward a child, following them into a parking lot...
Read moreIt hurts honestly to make this review. My husband and I have been dining at el patron for over a year now. The owner has always been respectful and nice. However, tonight was different. My husband, daughter, and I, went for dinner this evening. I asked for Mexican Tacos al pastor and my husband asked for an acp, but a steak and chorizo combo. When I got my tacos, I honestly confused. These were just fried chorizo tacos. I asked the waitress if this was correct, and when she asked the cook, I could hear him clearly in spanish tell her to tell us it's taco al pastor and just to say the meat has been cut smaller. She came back to our table and repeated his words to us in English ( however, I'm spanish myself, and definitely knew this was not al pastor at all) Ever since we started going here they been fantastic, but this absolutely ruined my experience, and felt disgraced by my own race that they believed they could just wipe their ass with us because they believed we couldn't understand what they were saying in spanish. We will NOT be going back to a place that it going to provide shitty service based on your race/ color. al dueño:No me di cuenta de que su restaurante sería tan racista y crítico con otras razas. Llevo viniendo al restaurante desde que estaba embarazada, e incluso después, he traído a toda mi familia aquí. Espero que aprendas a no tratar al resto como lo hiciste con...
Read moreThey tried to overcharge us $8.00. The food was not as described on the menu. And we waited 45 minutes for the substandard meal. Worst restaurant experience in quite some time. Such a shame, since it’s right down the road.
I ordered a salad that was supposed to have mixed greens, chicken, bell peppers, onion, mushrooms, and egg. What I got was iceberg lettuce, chicken tenders, cheese, and tomatoes, with ranch on the side. My kid’s cheese quesadilla had super creamy queso on it - she’s a cheese lover and couldn’t eat it.
When I walked up to pay, the guy rang me up for four teas, when we only had one. Then he overcharged me a dollar on two different meals. Total of eight dollars overcharged. I called him immediately on the teas ($2 x 3) and he subtracted $6 from my total, but I still paid tax on that six dollars. I paid without further fuss, and he didn’t give me a receipt. I then checked the menu and walked back up about the meal prices. He lied to me and said he had thrown away my receipt. I helped him find it and showed him the prices on the menu and the receipt. He gave me two dollars cash back, so I still ended up paying for tax on the bogus charges.
Won’t be back. Ever. Watch them carefully at...
