I called to see if I could cancel delivery and just have my son pick up my order. I mainly wanted to cancel after I found out that their delivery would be Door Dash. For some reason when you choose delivery on the Johnnys Pizza website it will have Door Dash deliver. Plus the fee for delivery is more than ordering through the door dash App. So I decided it is best to just do a pick up instead. Owner was beyond rude to me. He kept telling me to call Door Dash. But I didn't order through Door Dash. I ordered on the Johnnys pizza website. He kept over talking me. He would not let me get a word across. I felt that he was treating me this way because I am black. I ordered on the website and tried to explain the reasons why I would like to cancel the delivery only. He kept over talking me and basically in so many words was trying to say I am a liar. He hung up on me and had his wife call back. She was more pleasant than he was. But she also kept telling me I had no order. Then he gets back on the phone because he finally finds my order but then blamed it on Door Dash even though I never did order from door dash. I ordered on the Johnnys pizza website. Which numerous times he tried to tell me I am a lie even though I was staring right at the receipt for my order. He then said, "well ma'am you have to understand it is frustrating because the two systems sometimes have trouble recognizing orders". I assume that was his way of apologizing. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at this restaurant. He kept saying that he didn't disrespect me but he did disrespect me. He hung up on me, made it seem like I was a liar, kept talking to me condescending, and kept talking over me. It was all bad. And to think I always order from here because their food is really very good. My family loves it. Owner should really brush up on his people skills. A simple apology would have gone a long way as he was...
Read moreFirst let me start of by saying I really like Johnnys , we do not live in Dublin, so whenever visiting family we love to stop in.
Fast forward to today… I called yesterday to place an order for a pan of chicken Alfredo to feed our family because we all were gathering due to my mother being In the hospital. Upon arriving we sat , and I told the server that we had an order of chicken Alfredo and we would like to sit and eat it along with ordering a few more items. She arrived back at the table to tell us we are not allowed to eat it there because the order is supposed to be for “to go”, they do not allow catering orders to be eaten in the restaurant and the pan is EXTREMELY HOT . Because of how much she info sized how HOT it is and they didn’t want anyone to burn themselves on the pan, I said okay we will just take it to go. When my husband picked up the pan and got into the car he sat it on his lap, the pan was DEFINITELY NOT AS HOT AS WE WERE TOLD! We drove only 7 minutes from the restaurant back to the hotel for all of us to eat and pasta was NICE AND WARM DEFINITELY NOT SO HOT YOU COULD BURN YOURSELF! Many noodles were undercooked and pan was not as full as previous pans we have ordered in the past! This experience was disappointing to be honest I don’t think I’d even return.
my very first time visiting Johnnys was in the spring. Our whole family came and sat in to eat pizza and wings, server was very kind and food was delicious. 2nd time was when our family was having a big birthday and I suggested for my mother to use johnnys for the catering of the pasta , which she did. Pasta was ready at pick up , pans were very full and was tasty. For the owners to know us as reoccurring customers and be treated poorly...
Read moreThis was our first time at this restaurant. The waitresses were very nice and friendly. However the owner/manager Jerry was horrible. He stood and chatted with the people at the table behind us the entire time they were there. He never helped the waitresses while they were waiting tables and cashiering. He stopped a busy waitress and instructed her to cut fresh strawberries and put them on cheesecake to bring it to the people he was chatting with. Mind you they didn’t order cheesecake. He didn’t care that she was taking care of other customers. He was literally doing nothing but talking. He never once checked on the other tables however he catered to that particular table. We needed refills and boxes my husband had to get up and ask a busy waitress that was cashiering to get it for us. As the waitress was doing that Jerry continued to chat and watch the line at the register grow not once did he step up to help. That’s shameful as the manager. The cook was getting frustrated because he taking food to the tables. I heard him asking one of the waitresses what was she doing she said to him I’m taking care of my tables. Meanwhile Jerry was still standing around chatting doing nothing as his staff was working to the max. Again he never stepped in to help. The food was good for the most part. Our wings and one of our pizza’s was cooked perfectly While our cheesy pizza was a bit burnt. We will not be back not because of the food but the poor management. We didn’t complain about the pizza because it was clear the staff was doing their best while their manager Jerry stood around and catered...
