I was in Dublin and saw a small restaurant that looked like one from the good ole days . You know the kind with good home cooking not a chain restaurant by no means ! I decided to stop and see if this had soul food which I had a craving for … I went in and was greeted right away with smiling faces and was offered even a free Caribbean drink out of cooler ..It was Coconut mango I think . I will admit prices were not cheap but if you know how expensive oxtails are to buy to cook you would know why.. I ordered the oxtails and collard greens blackened peas mixed with rice ..Loved the Oxtails rice and peas but next time I heard the cabbage and carrots would be the best to go to veggie . I would call it soul food with Caribbean flare … After I ate the oxtails I kept craving them and they were so tasty that I now have to go back .. I am a real foodie and a good cook myself and if I say this is great place to eat it surely is .. This is like a little hole in the wall place or hidden gem that you are so lucky to stumble into if you are...
Read moreI visited this location a week ago. I found myself in this area due to myself being there to visit Friends. I got two orders of oxtails rice and peas and one order of jerk chicken rice and peas. Let me start by saying if you know authentic Jamaican food you will be disappointed. My poor friend only being here in the states now a year was super super let down. Issue one the rice is a very poor grain of rice that is very poorly received with such a dish like oxtails. The rice just was very over sauced to compensate for the very poor grains of rice she is using. The jerk chicken again for as authentic flavors goes was not really a jerk more of a bump chicken LOL. The jerk had no developed characteristics one would expect from authentic jerk chicken. The jerk just had no kick at all. So if you are beginners for as trying Jamaican food this is the place for you. Donot expect an authentic experience. BTW the portions sizes were ok for the value...
Read moreTook the crew for lunch. We had the jerk and curry chicken. Everything was perfect. I've enjoyed Caribbean food many times across the country and this is one of the best! The island lemonades are also delicious. We will be going back to try the curry goat, ox tails and saltfish for dinner one evening.
Update

Even if this food doesn't sound like something you might enjoy, I highly recommend just stopping by to meet them. You will be treated like family and have...
