I used to frequent this bar weekly through college and my early 20s. The wings and sandwiches were good and I liked the look of the reception hall. My wife and I had our wedding reception there 5 years ago and we haven't given them a cent of business since! The seating was not arranged how we had agreed upon. The food was awful coming out lukewarm and our vegetable selection of broccoli came out as 90% stems. At the end of the night my parents who graciously decided to pay for the reception had forgotten their checkbook and asked if they could stop the next day with a check. The owner flew into a rage and grabbed my mothers purse from her hands as he said he would have to keep it as collateral! Now we had been in numerous talks with the owner about our reception and he not only knew where we lived he also knew enough about me from coming in over the years to know he wasn't going to get hosed on the reception cost. To add to this embarrassment we had told our guests to take the centerpieces that we had arranged home if they so desired. My aunt had a Christmas party there several months later and found that our wedding centerpieces that had not been taken by guests were still being used. Now I don't mind that this happened except that My aunt said she politely asked a waitress if she could have one because they came from my wedding reception and was told absolutely not unless she wanted to buy one from the bar owner! So needless to say I would strongly advise against giving this...

:::Atmosphere::: They allow people to smoke inside, so if you aren't a smoker it can be a bit hard to breathe. Some of the walls were missing paneling, so we could see the insulation, and the place wasn't lit very well. The pool tables are pretty nice though, much better than anywhere else.
:::Food::: This trip was the first time I have ever refused to pay for a meal. My friend and I got burgers, and they were both pretty much raw, as if the cook forgot about our orders and threw them on the grill for a few second. The blood/juice from mine made the bottom of the burger red and soggy. We had asked for them medium. The lettuce was brownish-black in some parts (clearly not fresh), and the fries were shriveled and looked re-heated. My friend and I paid for our drinks, but not the meals.
:::Service::: The waitress was very polite to us, and it wasn't her fault the food wasn't cooked. The service seemed pretty good, although we had different servers come to us at different times which made it feel unorganized, but overall they were very pleasant.
TL;DR: If you are coming here to drink and play pool, you will probably have a good time. If you want to have dinner, find...
Read moreDO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY/TIME! What a disaster our meal was. I am visiting from North Carolina and we decided on The Valley Inn for my granddaughter’s 1st birthday dinner. We were excited for the “wings” and WOAH what a huge disappointment. Firstly, the wait for our food was ridiculous. I’m assuming it was a staffing issue because it wasn’t even full at the restaurant. We all ordered a small cheesesteak and each got a half dozen wings. When the waitress finally brought our food out, our jaws dropped in disbelief. The “wings” were so tiny, like miniature! At one point my son was laughing so hard, he had tears in his eyes. They were obviously over cooked because those puppies couldn’t last in a deep fryer for more than one minute simply due to their size. The cheesesteaks were subpar. A big bun with a sprinkle of cheesesteak meat. This place must be hurting financially because they are definitely cutting corners when it comes to the food quality. Also got charged for watered down Pepsi refills (just one each person) AND for using my bank card to pay for the meal. All of this mess for an $82 bill (three adults, one toddler and our bday girl) PLEASE TAKE HEED AND RUN (don’t walk) in the opposite direction...
