Susquehanna State Park — Attraction in Williamsport

The major attraction here is the Hiawatha River Boat. With a slew of special events on board, there's something for everyone. The rest of the park is pretty tame. From my photo of the park entrance, you can see it's a long narrow park sandwiched between the river and the railroad tracks. The boat ramp is right off the entrance, then the rest of the park is a long stretch of grass and picnic tables with views of the river. Nice to see a PA state park so close to Williamsport. Needed to find a spot for our dog to stretch her legs. Long, narrow park with some picnic tables and grills beside the river. Parking is allowed parallel to the walking path.

I walk here often, for I live fairly close to this state park. There are a lack of things to do here, it's a little boring... Picnic tables, you can launch a boat, walk along the water a quarter of a mile, although there is not a designated path... A plus, it's never busy!
