The place is a bar/ restaurant food, and booze. If you go to the bar you'll get served after a few minutes wait. The restaurant part right next to the bar it's hit,and miss I have gone there many, many evening's to hear the good karaoke singer's, and that part is lots of fun, however sitting at a table expecting a waitress to stop, and ask you if you want a menu,or anything else can sometimes be futile. I have sat for over an hour for service, even though the place is virtually empty. Some evenings I have not been waited on at all, but stayed for the karaoke. The waitress has walked past me waiting on other customers, and ignored me. I have been told by a few who would know, that if you don't drop at least a twenty dollar bill on your food, and drink, and on top of that a hefty tip, you get silently blackballed. A small soda is $2.25, with one free refill, and a one dollar charge on any further refills, which are mostly ice. None of the waitresses are overly friendly, and the owner Donna downright rude. She is liked by,and likes no one! The place is a little hole in the wall, and I have decided to not go there, and be treated like dirt anymore. The food if you can get it is good. The wings are always expensive, and overcooked. I really have grown to dislike the place. I don't see how they stay in business! Forget there there are much better places, unless you are a...
Read moreI love this bar. I’ve visited for years, since I moved to the area. It’s a quick lunch spot and a great place for late night refreshments. And the soups!!!! The patio was a beautiful addition that I have really enjoyed the past few summers. This year’s addition of palms and tiki umbrellas has created an even more relaxing environment. All of the employees are incredibly friendly and quickly get to know you. It’s welcoming. Also, I feel safe going here alone. The owners are generous in supporting their local community and neighbors. They have helped me on multiple occasions host fundraisers for various charities I am involved with or they have made donations. Truly a locally owned small business/gem of Dunbar that you should try. If you’re new to the area, you just might make new friends. If you’re stopping through, you’ll be welcomed. I almost forgot, this is my favorite place to feel the holiday spirit. Halloween is an event and Christmas is a popup bar/holiday vibe. Seriously, the inside is covered in Christmas lights. Multicolored....
Read more10/10 would recommend ! This place had amazing service and the food was equally good. I ordered a grill cheese with chili and my husband a fish sandwich with potatoes & slaw. (he got French sides on the side which he completely devoured!) The grill cheese on Texas toast was warmed and tasted delicious. The chili was extremely flavorful and absolutely delicious. It tasted homemade and Kendra, the bartender was super nice and attentive. If your a dessert person the peanut butter pie tasted like a delicious cheesecake with a hint of peanut butter. The peanut butter was very subtle and not overwhelming, I would 200% recommend! The drinks were not watered down and the service was fast and polite. The bathroom and overall establishment is clean and comfortable. Check...
