Pizza King — Restaurant in Dunlap

Customer service is VERY POOR! We try to always support local businesses, but after this experience we will be taking our business elsewhere. We called in and order 2 Large PEPPERONI pizzas for pick up. Go down to pick them up and they had given us cheese pizzas, we politely let them know of their mistake and asked them to correct it. They wanted to put pepperoni on top of the pizzas they had given us, instead of cooking it on the pizza. We told them we didn’t mind waiting for them to remake the pizzas and things turned ugly, they were rude and said we were calling attention to ourselves. The manager Kim needs serious training in customer service as she was rude and did not help the transaction at all, she even told us to go to Dominos - which we gladly will from now on, at least they were respectful and accept their mistakes when they make one and correct it. We finally asked for a refund to just be done with the situation and when she gave us the refund she didn’t even give us the correct amount - she shorted us. We left and will absolutely not be back! I hope they take this as a lesson to train their employees on how to correctly handle their mistakes and how to...

A buddy and I decided to eat lunch at the newly re-opened Pizza King today. The first thing I noticed was the improved appearance and layout of the entrance area. There is a small salad bar/pizza buffet for those who want a quick bite to eat. Nice addition. The menu appears to be the same as the old Pizza King. I ordered the meat lovers calzone, and my buddy ordered the gyro sandwich with tatertots. Ordering was a little slow as one of the order takers was obviously new and got easily confused.

The wait time for our food was a little longer than expected, but the restaurant was reasonably busy at the time.

When our food arrived, I was surprised at the portion size; noticeably smaller than under previous management.

As for my calzone, it was supposed to be a meat lovers with mushrooms, but it had a lot of mushrooms and very little meat. It also had a slightly burnt flavor.

Overall, I was not impressed with my first visit to the "new" Pizza King. However, I will give it another try to see if...

Don't know why I even gave this place a second try. Spaghetti sauce is always watery and superrr sweet. I don't know what kind of sauce it is, but other than being sweet it has NO flavor. The pizza always sends my family to the bathroom for some reason and they do NOT, I repeat they do NOT have any kind of garlic....no powdered garlic, garlic salt, granulated garlic, chopped garlic, garlic butter NOTHING. What Italian or pizza joint doesn't carry even 1 kind of garlic???? No real Italian/pizza restaurants wouldn't have that. The ladies at the front counter are always rude and have an attitude. Only thing halfway decent on the menu is the gyro platter which isn't even an Italian dish, but they make that good! Maybe they should stick to Greek dishes or bring someone in who's actually Italian and knows how to make Italian food in there because I know for a fact there isn't anyone. Would rather have domino's...
