10 out of 10 would not recommend!!! The atmosphere is extremely hostile like your not even welcome to be in there to eat, was not asked where we wanted to sit or told where to sit so we sat our self, was clearly watched sit down and was 25 minutes before our menu was even brought out to us, took another hour for the food to arrive, so when it was time to leave the waitress said you will pay at the front, so I asked for a Togo bag for my food and a drink Togo they said we are out of tea which is what I was drinking so I said that is no big deal I’ll take a Dr Pepper Togo instead, then they handed me a new copy of my bill which was $3 higher than the first, I looked for a sign that said they charge processing on a debit card I didn’t see one so I asked the girl do y’all charge processing on debit cards? She said no you go another drink, I said well I just asked if I could get a drink to go, do they cost extra? No you got a different kind, I said I got a different kind because you was out of tea, I said just don’t worry about it then I don’t need a Togo drink for $3 so she ran my card yet again and again I don’t know why she kept running my card but by the time I got to the parking lot to check my bank statement it had done pulled out the money for 3 peoples meals. So I went back in and asked to speak with a manager or a owner, I was yelled at and they said no one is here and I need to talk to the waitress who was not the one who charged my card 3 times to begin with, she told me that there was in fact and owner there they they just couldn’t speak any English and the girl who ran my card 3 times was just left to run the place as she seen fit, the charges for 2 of the meals are supposed to be voided but who knows, so for one meal and a sushi roll has cost me right at $120, I just pray I get my money back and would highly advise anyone to not eat here unless you like being treated like you not welcome DEFINITELY NO SOUTHER...

I have NEVER given a 1 star review. I don't take these lightly and know it can effect a business. However, this review is needed. We were seated then no one came to our table for 30 minutes. Once the server got there (after we went to her) she asked how many we had. We told her we only had 5 (1 baby and 1 child who wasn't eating). We received our main course quickly, but never received the salad or soup you get with the meal. The server never came back for us to ask about those. Our drinks were never refilled. And when we recieved the ticket, there was a gratitutity already added which shouldn't be added with parties of 5. When I asked about a discount because we never received our soup and salad, the server said they were free and that she can give them to go. I said no thank you. She slammed the ticket on the table. (I understand no discount). We asked for the gratitutity to be taken off and asked to speak to a manager. The server said it should be on there with parties of 5 or less. Earlier she had said six. And before we left it was 4. They did take the gratituity off and I ended up leaving a tip anyway because I was trying to be the better person. I told the manager the server was rude and argumentative, she did nothing. I would not recommend...

Really unfortunate that this was such a let down. I’ve had seriously good luck in Dunlap but not today. Firstly I was greeted with a lack of any attention and I have empathy for my server as she looked over worked and exhausted, but the food was really the downfall. My entree was mediocre at best, I understand this is TN and will not be fully authentic but it was really just grilled chicken and rice with some steamed vegetables. The Pork dumplings were great which compensated for my flavorless and really pathetic miso soup that settled in minutes served luke warm. The restaurant itself is pretty dull but the food should really be the highlight of any restaurant. Tipped my waitress 20 and although she didn’t seem thankful my experience was far from her fault but the chefs. Certainly wouldn’t recommend and I do the business makes a comeback or I caught the restaurant on an off day and it improves, I think Dunlap is a great spot for a Japanese...

Me and my girl just ate here. Between me and her we have probably eaten at 20+ sushi restaurants from Tennessee to Arizona. This place is easily in my top 5. Service was polite and quick (quick taking into account the sushi is made to order and not sitting out on ice in the back). The food was all top notch. Prices are insanely fair for the quality you get. Compared to sushi places in Chattanooga. Atmosphere is peaceful but lively. Overall this place is worth going to. Will be a repeat eater. (We had "The love boat" with the "pirate roll" $80 meal for 2 people which at other places would have been closer to $100.)

This is the only place I can find in the area that still serves soft shell crab. 🦀 There's is lightly breaded and just.. delicious. They have a huge sushi menu with pictures. I love that I can actually see what it looks like before I order it. Everything we've ever ordered has been really good. Highly recommend the Sirloin and shrimp hibachi. A+ As far as service... there's usually only one lady working tables, checks, AND the phone. People who are in a hurry don't see or understand this. Give her a break. Order a pot of tea and chill. It's not fast food.
