If you want unlimited chips and salsa like you regularly get at most Mexican restaurants, don't go here. For $5 you get a basket of chips and salsa far too spicy for me to enjoy. There's also no kid's menu, and no nachos on the menu. Thankfully they accommodated my kids with cheese nachos, I was grateful for that. The tamale was fantastic! I was disappointed with the taco salad, I'm used to them being the mildest thing you can order and you just spice it up with your choice of hot sauce. Nope. It was extremely spicy, I couldn't enjoy it unfortunately. But my kids were full and happy, service was fantastic. Just be careful if you can't handle spicy, you might ask more questions than I did. Ha! Oh the queso was also fantastic so if you don't do spicy order chips and queso 😊 portions were also plentiful. You will not leave hungry if you can...
Read moreDurant has several superb authentic Mexican restaurants. We travel to Frisco TX frequently. Durant makes for an ideal lunch break spot, whether coming or going. I have a list to try. He served us a tasty little bowl of chicken soup, along with the chips and salsa. Ask for both and be sure to try all...

I have a child allergic to the noodles but the other kids ate it very quickly and told me it was delicious! I didn’t see a charge for the soup on the receipt so it was a friendly surprise. The food we ordered had a lot of flavor and I thought everything was good, but none of us enjoyed the rice and beans much. Kids said they tasted very bland and needed salt. I found the rice and beans to be a relief to the spice in my tamales. We will be back and trying dessert next! I’ve only ever visited Costa Rica, but I can say, this is...
