Cleanliness: 5/5. Food is served on paper plates which eliminate the possibilty of food scraps from days before, hitching a ride onto your plate. Plastic forks and styrofoam cups as well. Love it. Personal preference I guess. Tables were cleaned. Restroom fairly decent.
Price: 5/5. Two morning meal combos (fresh cut homefries, bacon egg & cheese croissant and a drink for $5.50 individually) was only $11 for me and my wife. I'd pay the same amount or more for two meals at a fast food restaurant with maybe a 1/4th the taste.
Service: 4/5. What keeps them from scoring 5 out of 5 was the fact they didn't have a couple items on their menu. So we had to be redirected to other items. But its fine because they had those other options and the great taste wasn't lacking.
Quality 5/5. You're tired of the same menu items for breakfast. I get it. But the rosemary herb fried and fresh cut homefries that you get here? You won't get those potatoes at a fast food restaurant and you'll certainly pay far more at a sit down restaurant to get them. Here, its included in a cheaply priced combo $5. I'm a big guy and I was worried that like most combo meals, I'd need an extra side to feel full. So not the case here. Give them a shot! I'll...
Read moreIt's been almost a year since I've visited this establishment and wrote the review below. I just wanted to update it by saying nothing has changed! The same kindness felt the first time I walk into this place is the same kindness I feel today. And it's not just the customer service The delicious food I had for the first time is the same delicious food I received today. These breakfast potatoes, are hands down the best I have ever had in my entire life. You can't go wrong with getting the breakfast special. With the potatoes and the bacon, egg and cheese croissant and coffee.. for a delicious hearty breakfast in Durham, you need to be at this spot.
I've lived in this area over 5 years and I would drive past this little white building so many times and never thought to go in until one day…
What wonderful people! That's what's really important 1st of all. The food…I have included pictures so you see the serving sizes and it's not just the serving sizes the food is delicious!
The only downfall of this restaurant is that it's not open long enough. Beautiful people and great food!
Make sure you...
Read moreI have a new breakfast spot!! And they serve lox bagels!! I'm in heaven. It can be difficult to find restaurants that serve lox that's seasoned correctly and serve appropriate portion sizes, especially here in North Carolina, but I'm so glad it's becoming more popular. I had a craving for it on Friday, but unfortunately I missed the breakfast hours here, however, if you're interested, they do have a lox salad. I may try it one day but I came back Saturday for my bagel. It was huge and I'm thinking of going back this morning too! Only downside to Blue Ridge is the limited size/staffing in their kitchen. I asked for a side of bacon (7 pieces!!!!), but I was informed that it would take 30 minutes until more bacon was ready (?!?!). So I passed on the bacon. This little place appears to be growing, which is always a great thing for small businesses. The owner and staff also know patrons by name, making for a homey atmosphere. I can't...
