Some of the workers here donât wear gloves or wash their hands while preparing food or drinks. While waiting for my order today I saw a worker handling cheese without wearing gloves which was disgusting. There also doesnât appear to be a dress code for the workers either which is another safety hazard and should be implemented if youâre working as a barista. I work at a Starbucks in my hometown and we still have to follow food safety guidelines, it doesnât matter if youâre working at a corporate coffee shop or a local one on campus. I had been going here since the Durham location first opened but today after getting sick twice in the span in an hour from my latte and food I wonât be returning for a while until this place implements proper food safety measures.
