I'm not saying Starbucks is responsible for any good will remaining on the Earth, but I'm also not saying it. Before I discovered their caffeinated concoctions, my mornings resembled a zombie apocalypse directed by a sloth. Now? I'm practically a caffeinated hummingbird, buzzing with the energy of a thousand suns (or at least, a venti iced caramel Frappuccino).
They've mastered the art of turning beans into liquid motivation. My barista, bless their soul, in addition to being super kind, energetic, and positive , somehow manages to spell my rmname correctly, even when I'm muttering it through a haze of sleep deprivation. It's like they possess psychic powers, or maybe just a really good cheat sheet.
And the pastries and breakfast sandwhiches? Don't even get me started. They make your taste buds sing
Yes, it's a little pricey. But honestly, at this point, I'd sell my left shoe for a daily dose of their magic. Plus, where else can you get a drink that sounds like a wizard's spell? 'Venti, sugar-free, soy, extra-hot, upside-down, caramel macchiato with extra drizzle'? That's not a beverage; that's a quest.
This Starbucks is not just a coffee shop. It's a lifeline. A sugary, caffeinated, slightly overpriced, but absolutely essential lifeline. Five stars, and a bonus star for every time they've saved me from a Monday...
Read moreI usually have a good experience when I get coffee but not today. All new staff and not real bright ones either. I ordered a very simple drink, grande latte with flavor. The cashier asked how many shots I wanted, I told her a Grande comes with 2. If I want different I’d say so. Oh then the kid at the bar, he takes the cake. He’s holding my hot grande cup and asks if I want my almond milk steamed or just cold poured on top. WTH?? Did I order an iced latte, NO!! I told him to just make my coffee like an ordinary hot latte. Now I get to my car and taste this coffee I’ve been waiting for and yuck!! I walked back in and asked the kid if he had put any flavoring in and he said yes, 1 pump. I told him a grande has 4 pumps flavoring not 1 so just make my latte the way I asked and not whatever the counter girl said cause it’s obvious she has no idea of what she’s doing. Neither one of them know what they’re doing and Starbucks is lucky they’re closing for the next month for remodel. This reminds me of why I drink Starbucks very little now. FYI, I do know how the drinks are made as I use to work at a...
Read moreAs I was departing Duvall Starbucks on my motorcycle yesterday afternoon, I failed to successfully maneuver a slow, sharp turn, and dropped my bike.
Sabine, a Starbuck's barista, came right out to help me when I most needed it.
I had severely sprained my right ankle under the weight of my heavy bike. I managed to get up on my own and accepted Sabin's offer to help me upright my motorcycle. Sabine also offered to call for help. I profusely thanked Sabine and expressed my gratitude for her kindness and able assistance. I told her I just needed to compose myself and that I would be on my way.
Starbucks should not only recognize Sabine for her outstanding customer service, but for her caring and compassionate spirit in going above and beyond to aid me. Our communities need more people with the praiseworthy human values shown by this...
