Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Dyer

I have been coming to this restaurant since 2016. It has overall steadily been declining in food, and service. Today was the final straw which I will never return to this place. The service and food was horrible. The service manager on duty was Ryan and he is highly unprofessional. The server Ethan was also very unprofessional and very inattentive. I ordered a slab of ribs when he brought him out, I got four bones which she said was a half a slab that was full of fat and burnt. When I asked to see the manager, Ryan showed up and was explaining to me that that’s what you get when you order a full slab. I then said OK and asked him to give me four fresh rib bones without all the fat. He then told me he was gonna take them back and go heat them up. I said I don’t want those because you walked all through the restaurant and back With my food open and exposed and no point did he ever offered to bring me a fresh portion of ribs. Instead, he wanted to argue with me and go back-and-forth at my table, which then prevented me from being able to eat my food, hot and fresh at what point does customer satisfaction matter? Then when I asked for The district manager, he refused to give me the person‘s name and phone number and also told the staff not to issue me the name and phone number. He’s spoken a very patronizing manner and didn’t care when I told him I will never return to this restaurant. Was full of attitude from the moment he walked up to my table until the moment he left at no point did he ever ask how he could make it right the worst part of it all was I was trying to celebrate my birthday And I’m a US military veteran. My husband and I dined in today. They have a great set up when you pull into the parking lot and they text you when it’s time to go inside . We got sat after our quoted time but they can’t control how long it takes people to get up so I get it . We were greeted by our server who was very nice. She got our drinks and our food order. We ordered a combo appetizer and the only good thing on there were the rattlesnake bites, the chicken was over cooked - dry. I ordered beef tips and my husband ordered a sirloin. He asked medium rare and got medium but that’s not something he would send back. As for me I asked for well done. I have ordered them that way before and if you know how to cook them right they come out thoroughly cooked and not burnt. Mine were burnt, charred. I’m surprised the person on expo allowed that plate to go out. I always eat my food and don’t like to say anything but I could not eat these beef tips. Our server came by and I apologized that I would have to send these back. They were hard and I did bite one and it was just burnt meat. The manager brought back a new plate and asked me to cut into the steak to ensure it was ok. I did and it was cooked properly. What they didn’t realize is that this time they brought my plate back with mushrooms which I said no to the first time, I get sick I’m allergic . My children and I ate lunch there today!! Let me start by saying that they were absolutely gracious from the moment we pulled into the parking lot to the moment we left. The host at the front desk was so friendly & informative. When it was time to seat us he gave us a run down of their special margaritas and other menu items.

After we were seated at our table and the waitress came over. She was absolutely delightful. Very knowledgeable of the menu items. She got our drinks and our appetizers. She flowed from one course to the next flawlessly. When The main course came, we were absolutely overwhelmed by the presentation and I am not exaggerating when I tell you that was the most delicious and tender ribeye steak I have ever had.

Five stars right across the board. Outstanding staff members. Food was absolutely delicious. Restaurant was clean!!! We are excited about coming back, and we will be bringing our friends. Thank you for the wonderful experience!!!

We went back there tonight 2/17/21 to celebrate my son’s 15th birthday. Our waitress was a wonderful woman named Michelle. Her service was absolutely excellent. She also had the table across from us who treated her horribly. She was absolutely professional and courteous throughout the entire ordeal. This is a true testimony to the all around GREAT experience we’ve had at this restaurant.
