Gus's Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Dyersburg

You haven't had chicken until you've had Gus's. I don't know why I've waited so long to visit, but this is now my top rated chicken place in Dyersburg. This chicken ain't for babies. This chicken has just the right amount of kick. Not too spicy, but just enough to remember the name Gus. The slaw will make you mad. You'll realize after the first bite that your whole life, the slaw was wrong. Yeah, Gus got it RIGHT! The potato salad? Prepare yourself. Seriously. You will NOT be disappointed with Gus's chicken. Be excited. Be very excited.

I love Gus's fried chicken. This particular spot, it's a different story, the second time we went here the Mac n cheese had gone bad and we had to throw it out. We went back tonight, the chicken was overcooked, and gave some of us the 🏃‍♂️ 😕. The store is apparently not busy enough and preps food then keeps it too long. The chicken is typically up to the standard we have come accustomed to receiving at Gus's. But the likelihood of the chicken or sides being spoiled is just too high in my experience. Next time I get a craving for Gus's chicken I'll go all the way to Memphis and bring it home 😞....

I ordered chicken, fried rice and Mac and cheese The chicken was fried pretty good and crispy! The chicken lacked seasoning! The rice was disgusting ! The rice looked and tasted like it was a week old! The Mac and cheese was also disgusting and looked and tasted like it was cooked days ago, very dry with too much salt! After 4 hours of eating this meal, I stayed in the bathroom back and forth ! My body felt awful! I normally wouldn’t even thought about posting but I wasted over $10...
