So i stopped in Sarpinos to grab some pizzas I had ordered online using coupons from a well known dining club. The person working, who happened to also be the owner of the store come to find out, looked at the coupon and rudely said, "Nope, thats not ours" and then continued arguing with me saying i was trying to use a fraudulent coupon, which again, was a coupon from a credible pay-for-membership dining club.
As i was trying to show him the details of the coupon and where it was from on my phone, he kept cutting me off interrupting every sentence I started, and grabbing my phone as I was trying to read and show him the fine print, etc., making it difficult to not get frustrated at the lack of chance i was given to even show him the details, and even more difficult to not get overwhelmed and offended at not being listened to or heard.
Before I even got an answer as to whether or not the coupon would be honored, he insisted on me giving him the phone number for the dining club, and having me sit there while he attempted calling, ignoring me as I was voicing my thoughts of the hungry family at home waiting on mommy, who had also snuck off to walgreens and shopped a bit on the way, assuming grabbing the pizzas would be...a piece of cake, or..er ..uhm...pie...hahaha...jk...
After 27 minutes of visiting this restaurant, rather than the anticipated quick "pickup dinner" 5-minute-at-most-visit, I finally received a snide "well, i haven't offered a coupon like that for 20 years...."
Sarpinos has been my favorite pie makers for forever. Ive never dealt with a rude owner/manager/employee at any other location, they always seem to have more of a look-at-the-bright-side-of-life attitude and seem to strive to keep their customers, any customer, not just regulars, happy. Afterall, as a business owner once had taught me, word of mouth is advertisement at its...
Read moreI tried to order food online and there it was not possible to check out online. I called in the order and was advised they were having technical we problems. I ordered food for delivery, clearly and specifically requesting delivery to the lower level apartment and to not deliver to the main level entrance. The driver called me and asked where I was while at the upper level. The driver had to drive around and redeliver to the correct level/ address. I called with concern about why the delivery instructions were not followed. The manager argued with me and stated the that the driver did not go to the upper level. either the driver lied or the manager lied. The manager was not able to accept any responsibility for the error and stated that there was no one at the store that would be able to address the issue. It is not acceptable for me to transact with a business that offers lies, excuses, and has no responsible decision maker on staff. I can only fear what is happening in the kitchen and prep area with food safety and handling if this is they type of management in place. The owner of this business has clearly made himself unavailable to manage the business and the owner did not put in place any competent management to handle basic operational decisions and customer service. beware of a food supplier that has poor management, the safe food handling and preparation standards can leave you ill, and this shop cant even staff a manager that can make competent and basic...
Read moreThis Sarpino's in Eagan has issues with accountability. They can deliver a pizza to the wrong suite, at the wrong time, to the wrong location, ignore all the written instructions and still blame the customer for the misdelivery.
on 6/24 at approx. 1645 I called to "the manager" to explain that my pizza was misdelivered. This person did not offer their name nor a solution, instead immediately begin to blame me for the misdelivery. Once I was tired of being blamed, I offered a refund or the pizza being redelivered as the only reasonable solutions. She said, "Sir, i am going to refund your money" and then hung up in my face. Mind you, The driver ignored the delivery instructions. Delivered 20 minutes early, did not ask to verify the suite and did not ask or verify who ordered the pizza. Sarpino's also has the buildings business listings incorrect. They have the entire building named after a single suite. This was all brought to "the managers" attention before she hung up in my face.
I also have not received a refund for this (2hrs later) as of the time of this review.
These pizzas were for a corporate event I refuse to spend any money at any Sarpino's and I encourage anyone reading this to look elsewhere. Plenty comparable pizza places with better pizza and...
