Saloon — Restaurant in Eagle Nest

Worst service ever and rudest bartender/server I think I’ve ever experienced. We waited 90 minutes for our food and eventually ended up walking out after seeing her intentionally serve another party who arrived 30 minutes after she submitted our order. Paid for our drinks and left and she was rude about that as well. Watched her be rude to nearly every customer in there who wasn’t a local at the bar. A complete and intentional which who brazenly and blatently doesn’t like out of towners. Which, is surprising as this is a tourist town that would not exist, nor would this saloon, if not for us visiting. What a shame how one bad employee can ruin an establishment but she...

We are in town for a conference at Philmont in Cimmaron, and we were looking for food near by. We drive over to Eagle's Nest, and most of the places in town were closed. This place looked like a hole in the wall, but it had a kitchen open sign outside.

Once we got in, the bartender was extremely friendly, and she sat us with menus immediately.

I got a "build your own burger", and the burger was excellent. The fries were slightly undercooked, and the soda was a bit flat. The two people with me got a burger and green chili chicken enchiladas. Both said theirs tasted great and the food was fresh.

Food was ok quality for bar food. After waiting 50 minutes for our food, the side of Mac and cheese had a very long hair cooked into it. We pointed it out to the server and she took it with no apology. She did bring another bowl of Mac and cheese out but at that point there was no appetite for more of what I'm sure was the same batch.

I do hope management reads this and looks to hire more help for the coming busy summer. Our server was definitely trying her hardest, but being the only one working, she was...
