Years ago Sensational Sweets made a cake for our parents 25th wedding anniversary, and it was beautiful. So, when we needed a wedding cake for our daughter's wedding, Sensational Sweets is where we went. We took in a picture of what we wanted and Colleen seemed confident that she could make it. When my daughter picked up the cake, she immediately called me incredibly disappointed and upset. The cake looked awful.. It looked NOTHING like what we asked for. By the time I saw the cake Sensational Sweets was already closed, and wouldn't be open until the following week. We immediately contacted Costco and had a cake made that could take the place of the one Sensational Sweets had made. I had 2 people working on the Sensational Sweets cake in an effort to make it presentable. We decided to go ahead and put it on the cake table, along with the Costco sheet cake. When they cut the cake, the Sensational Sweets cake crumbled into a pile of mess all over the table. Everyone who took a piece of the Sensational Sweets cake threw it away and came back for a piece of Costco cake!! On Monday morning we contacted Sensational Sweets to try and make this situation right. We were given the number of one of the owners. They did not answer, so we left a message. It's been almost 2 WEEKS and still they have not called us back to try and rectify the situation or make it right! I wish I had been the one to pick up the cake, because I would have refused to accept it!! I don't expect 100% of my money back... but I DO expect that a business who actually CARES about their customers and who takes on the job of making a cake for such a special event give that customer the COURTESY of a return phone call and listen to their concerns! WILL NEVER ORDER A CAKE FROM THEM AGAIN! Cake doesn't even look anything close too the photo that I sent them two days prior. The cake is falling apart before we arrived home and they tried too band-aid the edges with jeweled ribbon (without asking) as a patch job too hide terribly wrapped sides walls. Never coming to them again! When I came in the lady said that they could make me a new, but how are they suppose to have a new one ready in less than 2 hours?? I had no choice, so now.. they are saying I shouldn't have taken the cake yet I already paid for it days before. If they couldn't make this cake, they should have told me instead of making me take home a horrible cake. They should have never let me leave unhappy. As a business owner myself, I would have done anything to try to make the customer more confident, if you run a bakery and both of the people in the shop cannot fix this cake on the spot, ESPECIALLY IF THE OWNER HERSELF was if there, then your in the wrong business girls. mind you I have never left a bad review in my life.. I should have just made this cake...

I have not been here in years since it used to be sensational sweets. I just moved back to the area so I finally gave it a shot. I couldn't imagine how it could be as good as sensational sweets... but wow i was wrong. Unbelievably... somehow.. its even better. I used to drive to south Medford specifically for pucks doughnuts because doughnut country just wasn't worth the calories to me. If I am going to east a pastry or doughnut, etc.. it needs to be amazing. And that is exactly what this place offers. Their croissants are even better than the doughnuts IMO, so good I might not even get as many doughnuts in the future. Even room temp their doughnuts and croissants were the best I have ever remember eating. When I got home I warmed them up for 10 seconds in the microwave and just to die for.
