We came to this place for the first time on a Wednesday night and won’t be returning or recommending it. It wasn’t busy, maybe 5% capacity but there was plenty of wait staff so we were seated and served quickly and the wait staff was friendly and professional and efficient. None of that was a problem. We ordered several items and the food was mediocre but that wasn’t even a problem for us either. Among the items we ordered were steak tips cooked medium well. A few of the tips arrived completely raw (not rare, raw). THAT wasn’t even the problem for us either. We didn’t even care to mention it so we put them aside and kept eating. The waitress came over to check in, saw the steak tips we put aside and we just kind of shrugged and said everything is fine, just these pieces aren’t cooked but it’s not a big deal. She apologized and said she’d mentioned it to the kitchen we said fine, again it’s not a big deal. She returned from the kitchen with a small plate, the kitchen had asked to return them to cook them again. We thought this was weird and an unhygienic and unconventional way to remedy the issue, but we weren’t here to make a fuss and said again it’s not a big deal but thats fine if that’s what the kitchen wants to do. She brought them back a few minutes later, the pieces had char marks on them, I cut them up again, at this point just out of curiosity (no way I would eat them at this point) and found them to still be raw. That STILL wasn’t a problem for us either. I put them aside and kept eating and again the waitress came by, saw the pieces still uncooked and was surprised and a bit embarrassed. I told her not a big deal don’t worry about it, we’re full now anyway, no worries. It was all smiles and polite because the waitress was absolutely kind and sweet and professional and not at fault in any way. Neither the kitchen nor management ever came out to address the issue…that STILL wasn’t the problem for us. We asked for the check and were ready to go. After the waitress brought it (of course we were still charged for the steak tips), she sweetly asked us if she could bring over a complimentary scoop of ice cream for our toddler. We thanked her and said sure why not. She returned a few moments later from that kitchen, completely embarrassed and apologetic, saying “I’m so sorry, I asked the kitchen for the single scoop of ice cream and they said it will have to be added to the bill”. She was mortified and we felt extremely sorry for her because she had been so polite and professional and composed all evening as the kitchen and management kept messing up and making her deal with it. THIS was the point at which we became extremely turned off by this place. What a terrible way to treat your wait staff and your customers. Not even empowering the wait staff to fix your careless mistakes to make customers happy and putting them in humiliating positions like that while you hide in the kitchen. If a restaurant is not willing to dish out a single scoop of ice cream to remedy its failure in serving you raw meat TWICE, then that tells you everything you need to know about the kitchen and management. We got the impression that they didn’t take a lot of pride in their food. The waitress gets 5 stars but not at any credit to the restaurant, the level of excellent service she tried to offer us didn’t match the kitchen or management. Other notes: the Greek salad and fries were great. Spanakopita and soup were good. Risotto, lamb, steak, and wings were not good. Atmosphere is decent, lots of booths and spacious and a pretty stone patio. I was surprised reading other reviews about the owner checking in, we didn’t have that experience.
Edit: the owner seems to have missed the whole point in the response. The server did absolutely nothing wrong and they are trying to blame her and throw her under the bus AGAIN. Read moreService was outstanding, and the food and drinks were just 20/10. I cannot even put into words how delicious and yummy it truly was. Most people only leave reviews when they have a really bad experience, but my experience having lunch today was so amazing I felt the need to give them the recognition they deserve. From the second you walk in the door to the moment you leave, you know the staff really cares about their customers experience and satisfaction. My man got a white sangria, and I got the boozy strawberry lemonade. He’s very picky about his sangria, and he was raving over how delicious it was. My strawberry lemonade was also out of this world. Perfect ratio of strawberry purée to lemonade, not too sweet but just sweet enough. He ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich with no avocado as he doesn’t like avocado, and the kitchen made it exactly as requested. He absolutely devoured it. I ordered the chicken piccata with mashed potatoes. And as soon as it was put down in front of me, I knew I was going to clean the plate. Which is saying something as I normally eat like a bird. Read moreMade a reservation for my husband and I for our 21st wedding anniversary. They sat us in a quiet corner booth with rose pedals on the table, so beautiful. Our waiter Ricco was amazing!! They brought us complimentary champagne to toast our anniversary. We started with the coconut shrimp app and before that came out we had warm bread with olive oil, garlic and cheese dip. Delicious! The coconut shrimp were huge and delicious. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and the steak tips and I ordered the beet salad recommended by Ricco and the scallops with wild mushroom risotto. I didn’t know beets could taste that good! Amazing! The scallops were seared beautifully and melted in your mouth. The risotto was amazing. Husband loved his food also! I had the sangria also recommended by Ricco and loved it. We finished off with the creme brûlée which was the perfect ending. One of the best dinners!! Highly recommend this restaurant!
