Rural City Beer Co. — Restaurant in East Cocalico Township

We stopped by for a bite and to see what the place was like. We sat for a bit, not realizing that we had to go to the bar to ask for menus and/ or to place an order. We were given a small menu. We had a choice of chicken tenders and fries (I ordered those) or a pulled pork sandwich with chips (hubby ordered that but upgraded to fries). There was also a hummus plate option that we didn't order. No prices were listed on the menu. Turned out that the chicken and fries were $10. Pork with chips was $13 and the upgrade was $2 for fries. The "pALEsner" was delicious. There were several - maybe a dozen - beers available including some sours. I don't know what I don't know about beer other than not preferring hoppy tastes. We both ordered the "pALEsner" and really liked it. The chicken tenders were uncommonly plump and juicy .... locally sourced; I asked. The beers were $5 ea. Our pre- tip bill was $37.50 with tax ... So about $45 total. We are likely to return but we'll try to hit an off hour so as to avoid crowded conditions. The formerly- used rear room was not in use or even furnished... certainly not prepared for diners. We were the only people in the place who wore masks in/ out and we are dbl- vaccinated and boosted, just careful. Health issues are important to us, as there's a risk...

We hosted our company party at Rural City Beer, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the start, James and Erin were amazing—super helpful, responsive, and made the planning process a breeze.

The food was incredible: juicy cheeseburger sliders, Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls, pretzel bites, French fries, and cheesy Arancini—everything was fresh, flavorful, and a hit with our team. The seasonal beer selection was also top-notch, with something for everyone to enjoy.

We rented the back room, which had a cozy, intimate vibe and even vintage pinball machines! It added a fun, nostalgic twist that brought out everyone's competitive side.

We recently had our "Brews Before I Do's" at Rural City Beer Co. in Reamstown, PA and had such a great experience. We were looking for a very low-key to have our event the night before our wedding at nearby Bear Mill Estate., and this was the perfect place. The food was excellent and the drinks went down easy. The price to rent the private space for the night was very reasonable and they allowed us the freedom to decorate and move tables as we needed. Everyone at Rural City Beer Co. were very helpful and accommodating. Everything was clean and well maintained. We love the atmosphere here and the aesthetics of the building, inside and out. We live about 1 1/2 hours away, but definitely are planning our next trip...
