Three Brothers II — Restaurant in East Granby

Classic small town local breakfast/lunch place - this is the 3rd version of The Three Brothers I've frequented. The first Terry & Steve had for decades in Bloomfield before Steve retired to sunnier climes. The second was also in Bloomfield in a small space part of a gas station complex and now the third is here in East Granby. Throughout the moves the food has stayed classic and good. Terry's deft hand at diner staples is augmented by son-in-law Chris and also when pressed into service, his lovely wife.

The EG location has plenty of seating, a friendly group of wait staff and the same quality food that's always been found at The Three Brothers. Despite long hours (they open at 5am so Terry's up around 3 I guess) everyone always has a cheerful approach to the day, a good word for the family and good food to boot.

Stopped at Three Brothers II for a late breakfast. When we first walked in, it was moderately busy. When I stepped out of the ladies room, there was only one booth with two people in it, plus us. Coffee and juice was brought over, but we were ignored after that. Our order was finally taken because I called the waitress over. After our order was taken, more coffee was asked for. Again, ignored. I got up, walked to the front and had to ask for the refill. The food itself was worth the money. The service is in the toilet. Speaking of which, the bathrooms are dirty and lack toilet paper. To the young waitress who served us, zip up your jacket. We aren't able to come as often as we would like but Three Brothers is my daughter's favorite restaurant. Today is her birthday :) and when asked where she would like to go for breakfast, it was Three Brothers without hesitation. We came and my picky eater demolished her 3 pieces of French Toast and side of bacon. The chef and two servers hand delivered her birthday breakfast along with a special surprise complete with birthday candle. It made me tear up she was so happy. Thank you Three Brothers.
