I had high hopes for Corvos, given the many positive reviews here. Unfortunately, my experience having food delivered was basically unsatisfactory. I ordered three items, the Chicken Francaise, New England Clam Chowder, and plain cheesecake. You are probably thinking "what could go wrong, those are standard fare?". Well, beginning with the Chicken dish, there was far too much butter and lemon in the sauce, making it actually sickening. The chicken itself was tough and chewy, I had to cut it into tiny pieces to even make it palatable. Yes, this was edible, but not much more. However, the New England Clam chowder was a complete disaster. First of all, it was not New England Clam chowder, which is prepared with cream or milk. This was instead a Rhode Island style version. Although I ordered and paid for a bowl, the receptacle it was delivered in was only half full, about the amount one would get with a cup. There was very little in the odd tasting broth, maybe some tiny clams, that''s it. I could not find any potatoes, corn or other veggies that you might typically be served in clam chowder. It was like sipping endless boring broth, the least satisfying chowder I've ever had. As to the cheesecake, it had virtually no flavor and was like eating cardboard. Since the man who delivered the food was so nice and friendly, I left him a generous tip, which was well deserved. But would I go back, even in person if available? Absolutely not, if I was there in person I would have asked for my money back, but having opted for delivery...

Read moreThe food is not horrible. I must say, I had the chicken marsala and I was not a marsala. It was a brown gravy with mashed potatoes. Which they called a potato puree . It was horrible etable but not the flavor of a correctly made chicken marsala. I will not eat here again because of this one dish. If you are aspiring to be a higher level/quality establishment. All of your dishes should be held at a high standard. I didn't taste anything in this dish other then a very basic brown gravy. Not a marsala. No onions, no mushrooms, no flavor. Not even the slightest hint of wine from a de-glazing. But ,I have been an executive chef for 18+ years and I can be hard on these mediocre cooks /chefs. One last thing the stellar people of Moodus/East Haddam will love it for the most part. They are not accustom a 3 to 5 star restaurant. Sorry im so harsh I just expect more from a Ace that charging 25 bucks for a little chicken in brown gravy with mashed potatoes. I did expect a lot more then what I ended up with. Don't go in with high expectations and you will probably leave...
