Country Pie Shoppe — Restaurant in East Huntingdon Township

First time ordering from here and have to admit I’m a little disappointed. Ordered hot cross buns for Easter and I expected a traditional style coming from a bakery, there were no spices, no raisins (when I called I asked if there were raisins and they said yes) and no icing crosses! What’s a hot cross bun without a cross? If I had known I was getting a plain bun with what looked like candied green cherries in it, I would have picked up a box from Shop N Save. I also ordered a pumpkin roll because their Easter menu didn’t have a carrot cake listed - the roll is really delicious and that’s the only reason I’m giving...

Employee seemed angry some customers came in for her to wait on. I got 1 big cinnamon roll for my husband and I to share, it was very dry, close to stale and really zero flavor. I payed nearly $5 for something that was probably on the reduced rack for atleast 4 days after they reduced it. The lack of items to choose from was terrible. No donuts, very few cookies, and only a couple yellow cupcakes and chocolate. I use to come here every couple weeks and it didn't disappoint. However that was about 8 years ago and since then they have clearly gone down hill. Way over-priced for very mediocre...

They have giant buckeyes, which is what I like. They have mini and regular pies, cookies, donuts, etc. Items were ok, but nothing to write home about. Employee that got our items from the case was not very pleasant. I had the feeling he was annoyed that he had to assist us. Came from the backroom when we came in (no big deal) but was already in the backroom before we even walked out the door. Funny thing is, by the time we got to our car, someone else was pulling in.
