There is a limited menu, its done course style so you can choose betwen 3 cuts of steak or crab legs and they give you a set of sides. The layout is lovely and there are a lot of things to look at, there is very nice decor. There is a lot of history there. The food was good quality, but frankly it came to the table barely warm and was pretty much cold right away. I did not enjoy eating cold food and paying $200 for the pleasure of doing so. Also the meal came with sides and they ran out of one entirely and did not tell us or offer a substitute. The sides we did have I enjoyed, I do with we could add toppings to the potatoes though (to be fair I did not ask about that). The garlic bread was KILLER, I would have doubled that order had I known. The mushrooms were delicious as well.
I ordered a 1/2 of kind crab legs and they gave me hardly any butter so I had to ask for more. I will say the serving of crab was very reasonably priced and they were fresh. My only real issue was the food was practically cold when they gave it to me which definitely was not enjoyable. The desert we ordered was cheesecake, it wasn't anything special but it was worth it.
Our waitress was very nice when I asked about some of the taxidermy but when ordering she seemed short and did not like if we had a question. We ordered and she weirdly tried to upsell us. They are going for an upscale aesthetic and that was weird and tacky.
There a lot of tables with a beautiful view. I think they offer outside dining but due to the weather it was closed (common for Montana so it didn't bother me).
The leftovers were packed in a literal doggy bag, this was a bit different but honestly it didn't bother me at all. It seems efficient, clean, and there's less trash that way.
The setting was nice and food was good. It's the nicest place in the area but I feel like they could...

Our party was looking forward to a great steak meal. We understood about not having any choices and we were fine with that. Until we received our food. The salad dressing was thin with little flavor. The lettuce was iceberg with 2 cherry tomatoās that had been frozen. The steak appeared at the table and we were all looking forward to it. Both parties chose to get the specialābetter cut of meetā so the steak came to the table in one piece they cut it at the table and served it family style. We all chose our pieces and began to saw into our prime tender cut of meat with the steak knife. Needless to say we were more than surprised at the toughness of the meat and on top of that the flavor or lack of flavor. The potatoās were mushy bland hash browns and the bread had not been toasted garlic bread it was small pieces cut into a basket. The only topping for the bread was to dip it in the steak juices. The others in the party did like the sautĆ©ed mushrooms. But other than that there was not much we were happy with. We had to ask fr ourāfruit cupā we only got one. The waitress was not going to bring it to the table because they were running out. We had to ask for it.We did not like the pickled watermelon rind . But that was probably just a preference thing. I did try it . And the final straw was when they wrapped my steak in a plastic bag with a dog on it and tied it up like a dog poo bag. I did not take it because we donāt have a dog . Diner beware. Not the experience tat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk Iām not sure if other people have just never eaten food before but Iād like to leave my version of a review. The ambience is VERY nice and overlooks the lake. The wait staff are prompt, kind and attentive. Thatās where the good of this restaurant ends. Your choice of steak is sirloin, less tough sirloin or ground sirloin. For a steakhouse I would expect several cuts but ok. We ordered a bottle of wine which arrived warm and DEFINITELY spoiled. So we decided to order a different one. It was also warm but not spoiled. Not sure if they keep the wine in the furnace room but definitely not good. We both decided to go with the āless tough sirloinā also known as the Lindyās special. It was mealy. Cooked properly yes but super mealy as if it had been in a perpetual freeze thaw cycle. It didnāt taste bad but was tough and I was glad I chose the less tough option. Itās a lot of meat for the money but not sure it was worth it due to the lack of flavor and terrible texture. The best part about the dinner was the garlic bread and melted butter.
Oh the icing on the cake is when they put your leftover steak you couldnāt stomach into an actual dog poop bag and grab it like a turd. Yep you leave carrying what looks like a turd which I found apropos!
This place has TREMENDOUS potential but they need a visit from...
