Henry's Pizzeria — Restaurant in East Windsor

I grew up eating Henry's pizza and many years later I still eat Henry's pizza. BUT...I crave their antipasto. It's so good I will drive half an hour just to get an antipasto (2) and drive back home. We were there recently and the owner had made the BEST pumpkin pie I have ever had and I'm a pumpkin pie snob. I usually hate anyone's pumpkin pie but mine because so many people over season it. Hers was SPECTACULAR. I'm planning on going up and buy a whole pie (and of course an antipasto). It's a hole in the wall joint that's been there for ,, we'll, as long as I can remember and I'm not young. It's not fancy or stuffy. Personal service by the people who own it and run it. If you like thin crust get the ultra thin crust pizza. Or get the regular. Its mouthwatering in a northern Connecticut way. It's not like Pepe's. Cannot say enough good things about this place. I’d consider it a hole-in-the-wall (those are the best places). While there is nothing fancy about it- the service was outstanding x 10 and the food was delicious. We came with our son and his friend after going to Nomads in town. The best part of this place might be the age of the employees. :) so wholesome. All “older” but all just super, super kind, non judgmental, biggest heart people. You can tell just by being blessed to be served by them! Hard workers who have clearly been keeping this restaurant alive for many years. We cannot wait to go back and visit our new friends and eat...

I'm generously giving 2 stars. We stopped in on a friend's recommendation and I'm sad to say that it in no way lived up to the hype. The grinder I ordered came with the wrong cheese, they put peppers on it when I said I didn't want them it was dry. I was so sad I wanted to like this place so much. Our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there. The resturants is extremely out dated decore wise. The 2 stars are for the sweet older women who came and gave us warm rolls and was so cute.
