Bear Creek Taphouse — Restaurant in Eastland

Wow, don’t waste your time stopping at this place. My boyfriend and I were traveling through town and wanted to grab something other than fast food. We found this place and the pictures and descriptions made it look and sound absolutely delicious! On top of that, the place has good reviews so we thought we would give it a try. Ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup and a candy burger . I am not sure how you mess up a grilled cheese, but my 2 year old could make a better one. Bread was dry and overcooked and cheese was cold. It had no flavor at all. We were returning home after a family gathering and stopped to grab a quick dinner before getting back on the road. We stumbled across this the Bear Creek Taphouse. We loved the Texas beers and wine selections as well as the various fries meals including poutine! We discovered poutine on a trip to Canada (Quebec’s national food). I liked the heavy pepper in the brown gravy giving it a bit of a Texas twist. One of my daughters had the Buffalo Ranch fries and my other daughter had the Garlic Cheddar fries. It is a place that you can try all different kinds of beer, they sell it in flights, so you can try many different types. They establishment was very clean and a very unique look about it.
