There were things I absolutely adored about this hotel, but there were some amenities that were missing and sorely missed. It is undeniably adorable, charming, and unique. The windows and the natural light are outstanding, until 7:45 AM when you need some more sleep and you realize there is nothing on those windows to block any of the light that’s flooding in. There are cheap blinds with big spaces in between the slats and lace curtains and that’s it. That’s a shame as it takes away from one of the great things about the place: the bed! The linens were butter soft and the bed is too - not good if you have a bad back, but I loved sinking into it and slept like the dead. There are too few plugs, not one even by the bed. There is absolutely NO counter space in the bathroom. There is no other mirror nor any other good place to do make up or hair outside of the bathroom. There is no mini fridge. There is no microwave. I am giving it 3 stars, however, for the charming details, like: board games in a cabinet in the hallway for anyone to use, a great vibe, interesting decor, coffee shop downstairs that looked promising but was closed (on Saturday afternoon at 3pm and all day Sunday) during my stay, clawfoot tub (with no table or counter to place shampoo and such while bathing), and things like that. The coffee in the room was atrocious. I didn’t see the complimentary breakfast and snacks despite looking for them. And since there was no fridge, I couldn’t keep my cokes cold or store snacks, which was frustrating due to limited options for food in town, especially after 9 pm. And there is NOTHING to do in Eastland, nor the surrounding area and towns, for entertainment unless you came to...

Read moreA Girl Friend and I stayed for a long weekend at this adorable hotel and just loved it. (We stay at many boutique hotels.) This one was top notch. Clean, beautifully restored and the amenities were fabulous. The pool and courtyard area out back was a highlight. Amanda (owner) did a fabulous job and it is a great place to sit outside and have a glass of wine. The pool was immaculate and comes complete with floaties! Nice touch.||In the hallway is a 'public' kitchen area for snacks (the best chocolate chip cookies we've ever had) and bottled water and coffee.||John (owner)- went out of his way to help us find historical spots and restaurants to visit in the area as the Virus had everything closed down and we found some treasures. Ask to see his beer can collection!||Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling...
