All the way from New Jersey I went to dine in at Bombay tadka at easton .after reaching there I was disappointed one after the other . I understand the food will be delayed after ordering but it took close to an hour for our table . they should know to prioritize if a family is with little kids ! The food was ok , the chef did his best to bring the taste, but it still felt bland . I first order spicy later as per the suggestion from the server I brought it down to medium spicy but it was also bland….so I asked for a pickle on side , he gave me a big bowl full of mixed veg pickle, because I shouldn’t ask anything more ??????which is definitely not the amount of quantity any human can consume for a meal ….so for veg korma and white rice my side dish was pickle !!!never mind I just took it ! Later came the bill part when we asked for the bill i was surprised to see….they charged me for pickle ! This is the first time I see someone charging for pickle . I was tooo too disappointed I never asked for such a big bowl of pickle or atleast they should have given heads up saying we will charge for it ……. It’s not about the point of paying . It’s about the point how you Takecare of a costumer when they have some expectation but you disappoint them ! Good luck but It wasn’t a pleasant...
Read moreThis place was one of the best surprises of our whole trip. Nestled in a relatively small town is this 4.9 rated restaurant peaked our interest so we stopped for dinner. Immediately a very nice man showed us to our table and asked us if we were on vacation as a lot of vacationers tend to stop by. He then suggested some things and explained why we might like them which was very nice of him.
We had the Palak Chaat which is basically battered and fried spinach and was absolutely stunning and delicious. It wasn’t oily and was light and had a yogurt sauce and pomegranate seed to add some freshness. We also got the lollipop chicken which was so crispy and was well spiced and so good. Lastly we got tikka masala because it’s almost the classic of all classics with some garlic naan and a mango lassi. Chicken was tender and it was a nice balance of creamy and flavorful. Naan wasn’t too thick or thin and the lassi was so thick you could tell it was made correctly and focused on flavor and texture.
Cannot recommend this place enough if you’re going in either direction and we wish we could go back...
Read moreEven the take out is good!! Before Bombay Tadka opened, my wife and I lamented that there was no Indian Food close to Easton. As the saying goes " Good things come to those who wait". Bombay Tadka well worth the wait. We walked into sparingly decorated restaurant not knowing what to hope for. Ordered Cauliflower Pakora as app. Let me tell you I hate Cauliflower but ate this with gusto. It was so good. I ordered my favorite Saag Paneer. Some people dream of bathing in chocolate, others dream of bathing in champagne. I dream of bathing in Bombay Tadka's Saag Paneer. Yes. It is that good. Rohit is a fantastic server and great conversationalist. My wife and I have been back several times since and never disappointed. Recently, I had to do take out. Usually take out misses the mark ever so slightly. Not Bombay Tadka! Saag Paneer was absolutely wonderful! If you are local, go support them! If you are passing through and tired of same BS mile after mile, go and have a good meal. ...
