Upon entering the completely empty waffle house I noticed that every table was dirty some having dirty dishes on them, and the register area was very filthy. Both Wait staff employees for sitting down playing on their phones. Bre ( I believe her name was however I called her Strawberry Shortcake due to her pink hair which by the way I did like) Ask me carry out I replied excuse me she then restates to her question to carry out or dine in I told her dine in she stated sit anywhere you would like I said thank you I then chose the cleanest table I could find. A young man, who had only been working there 6 weeks I believe he stated, ask me what I would like I told him a rag to wipe off the dirty table he comes back with a bleach rag and cleans off the table, I was very happy to smell the bleach. I tell him my order and he proceeds to go in the back and get Love the cook/manager manager to prepare my dinner. I gave this sorely lacking waffle house 3 stars due to the fact that Love prepared my food wonderfully and the winning personality of the young man who took my order. Bre remained seated and on her phone the whole time I was there. Love, bless her heart tried making excuses for her.
Growing up as a waffle house kid (mother was a manager father was a cook) I have seen the ins and outs of waffle houses since I was 5 years old, My sisters and I prepare our 1st Burgers on a waffle house grill, So admittedly I do have have a high standard that I look for in waffle houses.. This one however, landed WAY below the bar today. A word to the wise if you are working at a restaurant and there is no one there that is a good time to make sure that the restaurant is in Tip To shape, all dishes washed, table clean, floors swept and moped, prep work done and BATHROOMS CLEAN ( the bathroom wasn't by the way) Not sitting down playing on your phone, when the things are not done. You want the 1st impression of your restaurant to be a good one, not a bad 1. Will I give this waffle house another try? of course I will because I believe in giving a place at...
Read moreNormally I like Waffle House but.... this one not so much. I asked for hashbrowns light with mushrooms and cheese, 2 over easy and bacon crisp. We also asked them to put the grits on the side on the other brealfast we ordered. When we received our food, no grits on the side, no crispy bacon and hashbrowns way too overbrowmed not light as ordered plus they forgot the cheese so plate had to go back for that, come to find out they had onion mixed in as well. Yuck! The only thing they got right was the eggs. And don't expect to get hash browns that look like the pretty circles you see in the pictures. Definitely not the case here. I was pretty disappointed since the hash browns are what i go there for in the first place. Waitresses need to look at the order before they bring it to the customers to make sure its correct and instead of trying to remember everything maybe the cooks need to read the actual ticket to ensure they are cooking the food as ordered. Hopefully they read these reviews and learn from them so their employees can do...
Read moreCame in because it was on the way back from myrtle beach and sister was hungry. Nobody greated us ans servers were talking with one another whether they took our order or not. Ordered our drinks and food then sat waiting for a good 15 minutes. Had to ask the server if they can bring us our drinks. There were 5 peoole working and only 4 tables had people seated. They moved so slow... with one blonder hair server yelling orders out the whole time. Finally got our food and everything was soggy. Toast was soggy. Waffle was soggy. Hashbrowns were soggy. I did not want to leave a tip as none of them provided customer service that deserved a tip, rather just ignoring out existence. But the blonde short haired girl was standing over my shoulder watching what I put down. Ya'll really need to work or your customer service skills, I used to be a waiter but I did my best serving my customers no matter how rude they were or whether I was in a bad mood. You picked this job aint nobody...
