It’s been a long time since, I have visited my old hunting grounds. I used to be a regular at Tex Mex Strip Club, when it became a Gentlemen’s Club..Back then it had very little competition for staff and ladies (dancers/ strippers, entertainers), waitresses, D.Js, and managers. And the owner was seen quite often. Cover, for now a days, was a bargain. But if they would have asked me for more, I would have to ask for a refund. No charge for parking. The club opened at 3 PM, after I ate elsewhere, remembering Tex Mex grill has a limited choice on the menu. I arrived at 5 PM. The club has changed, to say the least. The owner was no where in sight, at least until 6 pm.I was told by one of the girls that he was the owner. He didn’t look like Roy.He didn’t stick around. Sat at the bar, where someone one previously left the reminace of lime on the bar. The bartender took my order for a Markers Mark whiskey sour. I did not watch him make it, but, He put the drink in a tall Collin’s glass without a garnish. There were 2 or three customers at the bar and 2-3 tables filled with 2-4 patrons. There were 3-4 waitresses, but no uniform. Which I find unprofessional, they did not greet and sit the patrons. This is the first step in a club making money. I noticed no beer taps. None of the popular draws of beer. A sweet heart of a young lady sat down and we struck up a conversation. She was from out of town, trying to make money for college. It was her third day at the club. She said she would have to bone up on her Spanish, because there was a lot of Spanish being spoken by patrons and other dancers there. I bought her a drink, she asked me a couple of times, if she could give me dance. I declined politely. A lot of the ladies working there as dancers, showed a need to reevaluate themselves physically for the job they have chosen. Too each is own, but, overall the group of ladies there on stage was rated about 2 stars. The one San Antonio lady, great personality, a good looking blonde (who I met just before I left at 7:55 pm, never saw her dance, late arrival) and another that I bought a drink for that was friendly, and agreed with me that the show was really lacking. I was there three hours. The bartender never checked my drink, or asked how I liked it. The music being played was for a Bar not a Strip/Gentlemen’s Club (slow music, listening music and rap music). For 3 hours I sat at A bar that was uncomfortable, with a drink that I would not finish (because it tasted unacceptable). There was really no show. The DJ and or Manager are either blind or incompetent to see what was going on. they are settling for being a Border Strip Club.The drink was bad, the ladies need improvement, the DJ should be fired or put on probation because the show wasn’t. The girls are running the club. It certainly isn’t the owner or manager. Gave the rating of 3 stars for old times sake, don’t understand how anyone makes good money there. I didn’t stay, decided to end my suffering, went to Stilettos, another of my old hunting grounds....
