Mr. Quick — Restaurant in Egelston Township

Don't go to the apple avenue location, it's the newest location so you would think it had the most strict expectations in order to make people visit this new location instead of the 2 locations within 10 minutes of the new apple Ave location, I've been eating at the 2 Muskegon locations for 20+years and tried the new location tonight which used to be Wendy's, chilly is one of my favorite foods and it's expensive at Mr quick, what I pay for a quart I could make an entire crock pot aka over a gallon of but the chilli is usually sogood its better to pay more for less, but this particular branch instead of giving me actual chilli that Mr quick locations all over Michigan do instead only gave me the canned chili dog toppings, Mr quick chili has wholes stewed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, last night I was ripped off and as soon as I mixed my chili up. I'll be returning to the new location to talk to the manager tomorrow not to sound like a Karen but this is an iconic Michigan fast food joint if you don't care about it go workat McDonald's, long story short DO NOT go to the apple avenue location theres 2 other locations within 5or 10 minutes that have far better quality service and food.... that's another thing I forgot to mention not only was the food at the apple avenue location awful but I sat in line with only one car ahead of me over 10 minutes and when the car ahead Of me was finally served they only received a small bag meaning I didn't wait so long because they ordered so much food I waited so long because the staff was more Worried about closing on time then they were serving customers until it was time to actually Close, they close at 9 PM I was there at 8:20 PM And they were already trying to close That's why they served me a entire tanister of topping chili instead of actual chili and that's why it took 20 minutes to serve 2 people that only ordered 2 single meals Trust me don't go to...

Although my family and I greatly enjoy eating here, their drive through menu says a certain price for some items, but once you pay, you are paying more than the price on the board. I give 5-stars for the food, but 3-stars for the issue of higher prices than marked..ie.. we purchased two orders of cheese curds and an order of seasoned fries and was told our total was over $16. That was about $3 more than the menu prices. When I first got there, I was only the 2nd car in line. There was an employee standing out of the side door, playing with a remote controlled car in the parking lot. (Hoping he was just on his break). I was asked to wait to order. After 4 minutes, my order was taken. I pulled up to the drive through and waited 5 more minutes before getting to the window. Finally got to the window and could only see 3 employees. (I completely understand the short staff issues going on right now). After another 6 minutes, I was given my food, but was missing an item. The gentleman at the window was very apologetic for the excessive wait times and the missing item. I thanked him and said I completely understood. 5-stars for service as well. I wish I could give this negative stars. Since the McKinnons took over this place is the epitome of trash. Anyone who spends their money here are giving money to crooks and scam artists. Their workers they employ are underpaid and frankly below average IQ at best.

Today I decided to head there and give them one last chance. My girlfriend SPECIFICALLY asked for a mushroom Swiss plain. They said okay great. A LINE COOK CAME OUT AND EVEN CONFIRMED that the Swiss burger had nothing on it besides Swiss and mushrooms. Basically telling us how to order. Lo and behold, for the 2nd time in a few months (this happened at north muskegon too) the burger came out... with tomatoes, mayo, ketchup, and Mustard. Our simple request confused the pea brained employees so badly they they messed up the order that they CONFIRMED 10 minutes ago (because they take so damn long anyways). We had to give the burger away.

Absolutely unacceptable that wolf lake defends this place and these clowns are still allowed to tarnish the Mr. Quicks name. Go to Cloverville or Laketon if you want good quicks. PLEASE. Don't give them any more money than...
