Driving through El Campo for the first time on the way to the beach and every single restaurant in town had ZERO cars in the parking lot! The only places that were busy were the same ol fast food joints in every toen. As we approached the south side of town near 59 we found this little gem! We were towing a camper and we needed plenty of space to drive through a parking lot. There were a few cars in the parking lot too indicating there were just more than employees here and still plenty of room to pull through with a truck and camper.
As mentioned in other reviews the restaurant does look dark from the outside but that's probably because of the tint on the windows to keep it cooler in the summertime.
The restaurant is small but very clean and the two servers handled all the tables very well!
Our food took less than 15 minutes to come out and it was delicious! My son got the bean and cheese nachos which were just okay but perfect for a child. I got the smothered chicken with crawfish and shrimp which was very delicious! It's hard to cook chicken breasts and it not be dry. The chef here cooked the chicken to the right temp to keep it moist which made it fork tender.
If you're driving through El Campo or if you're looking for a stop right off of highway 59 this is your place to go for good Tex Mex!
Oh and top of it all....the Modelo...
Read moreLegit just left here and you nearly need a wheelbarrow to roll my big butt out. The Fajitas were amazing. Very different than what I'm used to but in a FANTASTIC way. I'm a big boy. I know my food. So trust me when I say this place is amazing. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the ambiance inside is very relaxing. The lights are dim, feels like you're eating in a top scale restaurant. The food tastes like you're eating five star food too. Everything from the salsas and chips to the taco salad my wife had to the Fajitas were just out of this world fantastic. The lady who seated us was very sweet, happy go lucky, and extremely polite and caring of us as customers. Our server was a younger girl who was also very friendly and caring of the customers. My wife and I were blessed to have found this gem of a place in the middle of nowhere. Absolutely delicious and worth every...
Read moreThe food was NOT tasty. I order 2 breakfast tacos and they where scimpy on how much they put in it. I asked for some Pico on it which was going to be a EXTRA $1.50 !!! FOR A TEASPOON of onion, japolino and tomatoe...jesh. There was a lady behind the counter that was scrubbing a dirty area (should be cleaned after they close at night)..a customer had to ask if their food was ready (it had been sitting in the kitchen window). The cleaning lady turned around, grabbed the plate without washing her hands, thumb wrapped over the edge of the plate, and served it..then went back to cleaning. No gloves used at any time. The foot infront of the check out counter was sticky and the...
