Beijing Bistro — Restaurant in El Dorado

Will not be returning. Not sure if this is the same owner as when I had visited several years ago. Planned visit to town and wanted to return based on great experiences during previous visit.

Atmosphere - quite confusing and clashing - upon entrance appears somewhat visually elegant, inviting and relaxing - however once you are seated - very dark, country music blaring, sports bar?, televisions in most corners

Price - order of egg rolls = Two (2) - 2 1/2" rolls for $4.99

Wait staff - tried to ask questions to get a little more information d/t allergies - he simply read the menu to us - no help at all, party if there, one person was served nearly 4 courses (he wanted to try various things) but yet remaining two persons had to specifically ask for every single thing part of our lunch specials or we would not have received them.

Allergies - ordered chicken lettuce wraps. Again - tried to find out ingredients - chicken, lettuce. And again - very dark, poor lighting. Thank goodness my daughter stopped me from taking a bite when she realized the chicken lettuce wrap contained bacon...

Taste/Quality - let me start by saying - we like to eat. Food typically does not go to waste. During this visit not a single dish was emptied. That just never happens! I don't know what to say other than it simply was not good.

A certain waitress I've had more than once really ruins mine and my families experience. My family and I ate here for dinner and both me and my step brother ordered the colossal burger MEDIUM RARE and said this very clearly to our waitress, Erica. My step sister ordered a shrimp sushi roll, and my mother ordered a steamed veggie entre that CAME with a sauce. We got our food and it turned out my burger and my step brother's burger were completely WELL DONE. I couldn't eat all of mine. My sister got a chicken sushi roll instead of shrimp. And when my mother got her entre WITHOUT her sauce and asked Erica to bring it to her, she brought it and charged her EXTRA on the bill for it. Even though it came with the meal! I told Erica that both me and my step brother's burgers were well done instead of medium rare and all she said was "I'm sorry". She didn't even offer to fix the problem or talk to the kitchen??? Excuse me, but being a waitress and a hostess myself, means you fix any problem that arises in the restaurant and never leave a customer UNSATISFIED. 2nd visit 06/28/24 ☆☆ Sadly, this experience was pretty terrible. We were in town for a birthday party. I was in with my bff, who was on crutches. There were several problems on our visit, although we couldn't have them corrected in a timely manner because we are on a time limit to try to get to the party. First, our server was completely preoccupied with other things and was kind of scatterbrained.. She barely came to our table. I never got my refill, and I didn't get my correct order.
