Howell's BBQ — Restaurant in El Dorado

I ordered a jumbo pulled pork sandwich when I got home to deliver it to my father it was a really small sandwich. So I called them and told them that I paid for a jumbo sandwich but got a small sandwich. The lady told me to bring the sandwich back so they can compare buns. And she said both buns are really small, well how do you have a jumbo sandwich when neither bun is jumbo? Small as the bun was it couldn’t get any smaller than that. I told her look you can just pay me the difference from a jumbo to a regular because I paid for a jumbo and I’m headed back to work, number one I’ve already spent 30 minutes waiting on the food why would I come back there and bring a sandwich to let her compare the buns when all she had to do was give me the difference from what I paid for. I did not get what I paid for!. So I told her no I would not come back and she said well the only way she can fix it if I bring the sandwich back, that’s ridiculous! so I told her I won’t be back, she said ok. I hung up. Spent a week in El Dorado, INCREDIBLY happy to find this BBQ I travel all the time and I'm on constant lookout for the best BBQ in new towns.

I got the two meat combo with ribs + sausage. My sides were turnip greens and slaw.

For dessert I had banana pudding.

I made the mistake of "just having a taste" of the ribs on the way back to my hotel. They didn't make it to the next light. They were so good I ripped open the packaging and was driving down West street chowing on the best ribs I've had in years.

The sausage was spiced right and smoked to perfection.

The banana pudding was fantastic.

The slaw and turnip greens were super tasty.

The portions were perfect, the price was great.

I would give 5 starts but they didn't have wings on the menu and they're still keeping the doors closed to dine in. I ordered at the drive through and the wait was well...

The food is great!! The size of the pulled pork regular sandwich was kinda small but...it tasted great! I had to call several times before someone answered to take my order and when I got there to get my order for about 10 minutes there was only 1 guy making plates .most places you go to tries to at least act like there busy and Appreciative of your business I really didn't get that vibe there! The workers just seamed to be going through the motions once they showed up! I think the food was amazing but I believe that they could use some work on how the staff deals with the public and the atmosphere of the restaurant!
