I decided to visit this restaurant since I was already in the area and had heard good things from friends. It was our first time dining here, and we ordered the LAPA sandwich and fish tacos for my kids. While the food was okay, the fish was greasier than expected and not quite worth the price, it wasn’t the worst part of our experience.
Unfortunately, the service was disappointing and truly affected our overall visit. Our server, Linda, took approximately 15 minutes just to greet us and ask for drink orders. I let her know we had brought our own water and were ready to place our order. She then took another 10 minutes to bring chips and salsa, which I didn’t mind too much at first, as I noticed she appeared to be chatting with people she knew and taking frequent breaks.
The food itself didn’t take long, but while we stepped away briefly to use the restroom, only my sandwich had been served when we returned, my kids’ meals arrived 15 minutes later, by which time I had already finished eating. During this time, I noticed Linda spending significant time talking and laughing with other tables, while we were still missing basic items like napkins and silverware. I eventually had to get up and take my toddlers to the bathroom just to find napkins.
Linda never came to check on us throughout the meal. When she finally did return, I asked to speak with the manager , only to find out she was the manager herself. I expressed my concerns about the delayed service, the missing items, and the overall inattentiveness. Rather than taking responsibility, she gave excuses about having a long day and being busy with people she knew. I found this incredibly unprofessional, especially coming from someone in a leadership position.
I know how crucial customer service is and unfortunately, Linda did not represent the restaurant well. I paid for the food, but will not be returning, and I would strongly recommend a reassessment of management if the goal is to maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This was the worst service I’ve experienced at any...
Read moreOur first clue should have been that there was only one vehicle in the parking lot at dinner time on a Saturday. We walk in and were greeted in a friendly Spanish manner. When I asked if we should seat ourselves the girl at the counter responded in Spanish. I think she said sit where you like since she made no move to show us to our seat. Our server was friendly. The menus give no desription about what the food is or if it comes with a side. No photos on menu. We went with something safe like sirloin tacos. Right before our meal was served she brought us each a small tin cup filled with a foul odorous liquid. We don't know what it was, she just left two cups on the table and walked away. When she returned we asked her what it was. "Its shrimp broth". Oh Half way through our meal, a young girl decided the rug in front of doorway needed a violent and vigorous beating. Using a broom she swept towards our table with such force that debris landed on our table. It would seem since we were the only customers in the place she could have taken the opportunity to sweep the rug before or after the only customers left. We were in the mood for dessert, but decided against it as it was clear the violent sweeper was not going to relent on that rug till she got a full confession out of it. We paid our bill and left. No, we wont go back. Two stars because the server was good. Food was not terrible, but it was nothing more than food truck...
