Update: It's been 2 years, and I'd thought I'd give it another go. My 3 star review went down to 1. There was still a wait for dark, spicy chicken, even though it wasn't busy. That's ok. I drove around and paid, and was asked to go park in the parking lot. The side is the building is the only shade that exist in this 103 degree weather, but I did agree to wait for the chicken, and I didn't want to hold up the line. But... no one was behind me, no other customers. So I decided to drive around to see if maybe some were in the drive thru that I couldn't see. Nope. So after I drove a full circle I pulled back up to the drive through window and explained I was told to park in the sun to wait, but would like to stay in the shade until a customer comes. I was told no, and that I would need to park in the parking lot (in the sun, despite there being no other customers) I asked for a refund. It took her longer to do a refund than it did for the customer who was in the drive thru before me to park, walk in, fix the order they did wrong for her, walk out, and drive away.
I drive to the Popeyes on Belvidere: Service with a smile, no comments, no attitude, and fresh food was ready in minutes and hot when I got it home. Take that Itzel. You dont want my business, other people do. And they treated me much better than you did. It looks like I'll never come back to this store again. But I don't think they care. That's obvious.
Previous post from 2 years ago: I've gone here every week for a year, since I realized they were there. Great food. Fast. Decent customer service. Same order every week. 10 piece, all dark, all spicy, 6 biscuits. Three weeks ago, it became a problem. I was told I would have to wait 20 min. I couldn't wait, so I left, disappointed. Last week, same thing: 20 min wait. I had time, so I waited in the El Paso heat in the drive through, and did get my food and was happy with the food. This week, I was told there would be a 20 min wait again, and it would have to be an 11 piece due to menu change. The person was very hard to understand so I asked if I cold drive up (it was 7pm, and we were the only car in line. I drove up and inquired why the last 3 weeks there has been such an issue. I was told they only had 6 pieces of spicy dark chicken and they are not prepared for a special order.....11 pieces, spicy, dark. I was told in the future, I should call in advance to order "such a special order". I asked, how much will you charge me just to get the 6 pieces you have ready? $11. Seriously, the same price as I paid for the 10 piece???? 2 cars were now behind me. I left disappointed and baffled as to why the past year it was never a problem, and now it will be. Read moreHope corporate sees this review. Hands down The worst popeyes restaurant. There is always something wrong with the order, there always out of something, and frankly the staff that works there doesn't seem to care at all at all. Do they even have a manager? it's like a high-school in there.
I am a long time popeyes fan, I will never go back to this location.
The Last straw for me. I drove up to the drive through Iwas having trouble placing my order do to a car honking from the parking lot. I pop my head out of the window and long behold it is a teen with a popeye employee standing outside his window. They stopped honking after that.
The order I place was completely wrong, I was charged extra. I initially noticed that I got the wrong sauce, the employee was extremely dismissive and i was not able to tell them. They quickly closed the togo window and walked away. I waited a couple of minutes employee never returned. I am in lunch, i can wait. I left. What I realized later, I asked for two spicy breast, and received one with a thigh. Even though I was charged. I asked for sweet tea, got unsweetened. I asked for two legs, and was charged an additional meal. But received no side nor extra drink.
No one answers in this restaurant.
Honestly stay away, double check your order. Dont expect much from this...
Read moreIf I could give this place a negative 1000 I would. The few time we have gone here it's always we are out of something or running low on something. My favorite we can't do special orders. We have a family of 10 and I always order two 16 pieces family deals dark meat. Well today we go to order chicken and yep you guessed it we can't do any special orders all we asked for way all dark meat b.c my family doesn't eat white meat. I asked to speak to the manager and they gave me a guy I don't even think he was the Manger when I ask for the G.M. information he tells me they won't ask for him that's not why I asked for him information. I will call in the morning however I believe whoever he was talking to gave me a bad number. This store has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I thought it was just b.c. they just opened the first few times I went but nope is will always be like this. Until they get managers and crews who really won't to work. I don't see this place being open for long. You would think being this close the I10 the service would be better. Will never spend my money at this place and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
