When I am biketouring (or motoring!) this direction, Stopping here in a essential! Within the past two months, I had two critical biketours: my Blue Origins Loop and the Dell City Diversion. A highlight of both was being able to recharge my body with some of the best/most delicious (Mexican) food anywhere on either side of the border. My gastro-pleasure was multiplied exponentially on 30NOV-01DEC2021, when I had an outstanding overnight in the adjacent Americana Inn Motel—that meant an excellent evening AND perfect Brekkie! An evening meal sizzling skillet of chicken/shrimp was quickly cooked up for a “starving” me, and the desayuno was simply superb. I really enjoyed the jamaica purple drink, which I had to have after hearing that it was freshly made from scratch—no package mixes involved! The same is true for their sandia (watermelon), and I look forward to the horchata because it’ll also be made from scratch. A great deal of care goes into the prep & service of these (and other) nutritious dishes/drinks; I look forward to eventually enjoying all of them in time. However, I’m very pleased with one (or maybe two or three?) at a time. You, too, should definitely make it a point to stop at exit 108–easy off/on for all roadusers, no matter if 2- or 18-wheels—and treat yourself to the best! DELFINA’s KITCHEN certainly has my coveted “iWheel...

The rice and beans were also pretty good. This was the first time I had chile releno, and it had a good flavor. My problem was the texture of the breaded flour on the outside. I would have prefer it be more crispy since it looked deep fried. My bf had the chicken fajitas quesadilla which was also delicious. Quesadilla was intact, holds temperature nicely, and had the prefect amount of cheese to chicken ratio. The chicken was cooked nicely and not dry. Would have liked some salsa or sauce to go with the quesadilla; otherwise, it would have been perfect. Service was good as I was greeted when I enter the restaurant and told a correct eta as to when my food...
Read moreBLUF: Avoid Delfina's Kitchen due to unprofessional staff who denied restroom access to a three-year-old, directing us to a gas station instead. We recommend dining elsewhere.
We planned a family lunch at Delfina’s Kitchen during our travels, hoping for a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, we were met with considerable rudeness by the restaurant staff right from the outset. Before ordering, we requested to use the restroom for our three-year-old daughter. Shockingly, the staff denied access and abruptly directed us to use facilities at a gas station across the street. This unaccommodating and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, especially for young children in need. We decided against dining at Delfina’s Kitchen due to this initial interaction and would advise others to consider different, more welcoming...
