Very upset with the manager Saturday. 11 of us ladies met at 3om on the deck for a birthday celebration for two of us. Had a great time, drinks, appetizers, dinner....we all cashed out and all left but four of us (two of us the birthday girls). Someone then bought us a drink for our birthday, we were finishing it and leaving when the manager came up to us to say we had to get going because they had people waiting and our time limit was up. We all said "oh OK we we were leaving anyway right after we finished these. I said well can we just stand at the tiki bar or the bar or another smaller table for a minute to finish our drinks, so you can get this big table ready? She said you'll have to get at the back of the line. I said I didn't know about that rule, her comment "There are signs every where". Very rude, i felt insulted, and very unappreciated as a customer that was part of a big party that spent ALOT of money and tipped well at your establishment. Here is an example of what you COULD have said.." Hi ladies! thank you so much for spending your afternoon here! we appreciate your business! hope you had a good time! I don't know if you saw the rule of 3 hours(which we were just shy of ) but we do have to honor that when there are people waiting. But THANK YOU AGAIN! I then upon leaving asked to talk to the manager which turned out to be the same lady and explained that again No one had told us that and we were cashed out and all had left but four of us and were happy to finish up our drinks somone bought us and leave but I didn't appreciate her approach ect. Again no thank you's and was told "That's very SELFISH of you while people are waiting". Your waitress could have made sure we knew of the rule, you could have not come back with "there's signs everywhere". Other than the beautiful scenery and nice waitress I would never recommend going to dinner and especially for a birthday celebration to a place that has a manager with no ability to make their customers feel appreciated, makes smart- alec comments and on top called us selfish....
Read moreBirthday bummer… my son and I are big foodies, and he works at a local restaurant. We have been waiting some time to go here and excited to celebrate my birthday.
When we got there, we were thrilled to find that we could eat on the patio, since I called two days ago, and was told it was closed for the season. About 10 minutes after we got there and ordered our food, a couple came and sat behind us. They was a bit older, and looked well to do. We both had the same waitress, Shelby. You would’ve thought she was two different people when you compared how she spoke/took care of us compared to them. From the conversation, she didn’t know them, but she was upbeat and friendly and super attentive with them. She was minimally conversational with us. I didn’t notice much of this until I realized that couple got their dinner and ours hadn’t come yet. They had an elaborate dinner, and ours was very simple, so it didn’t make sense. Another 10 minutes went by and she finally brought our food and it was stone cold. We weren’t in the mood to send everything back and have our celebration dampened more. The food was decent, but the portions on the Au Grautin Cod were very small.
We chose this place specifically to celebrate my birthday today. We were hugely disappointed to find out they do nothing for birthdays and she seemed annoyed that we asked. Whatever her perception of my son and I was, and he is biracial and looks it, she treated us incredibly different than the other couple that she had out on the patio. Nonetheless, I gave her the standard tip. It put a gloom on the experience and based on the pricing and food, the only reason I would consider going back would be the...
Read moreI’m kind of confused as to why I didn’t go as well as it did last time I came. I came with a pretty large party a couple months ago and sat outside and everybody seemed to get served pretty quickly. Everybody got the food they ordered and we were comfortable Now I came here today with my sister-in-law and my daughter. We sat inside because it didn’t look like they were seating us outside whatsoever. I did not see one person out there so we just didn’t ask. It took forever to get service . they literally could not find my waitress other waitresses were looking for the individual. I ordered two mud slides one for me and one for my sister-in-law and I just saw them sitting at the bar. What seems like 10 minutes at the least I was half tempted to just go get it myself. By the time we receive them they were half melted Which at that point we didn’t care. We finally got our food. We ordered fish tacos. They were good, but the service was lacking. I’m not sure if the server was over sat. I’m not sure if she wasn’t feeling well or maybe she just had something going on that day. Maybe it was just a fluke, but it took way longer than needed. That is for sure and I noticed it wasn’t just my table. It was all the table she was dealing with. There was a gentleman just two tables behind me, waiting for her to the point that he was standing up and walking around the restaurant looking for her while asking where she is so they can leave. I’ll try back some other time and hopefully I can say some...
