This place is by far the best food I've had in a very long time 🀀 besides Hub Stacy's!! The only thing is Hub's don't have seafood🐟 & this place does. Everything was cooked to perfectionπŸ‘Œ Compliment's to the Chef πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ We made a quick stop at Hub Stacy's to grab a small container of they're potato salad to add to The Point's Gumbo & did it Louisiana Style 🦐🍲 It was superb πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ I wish The Point had potato salad on they're menu!! It's ok I don't mind making the stop since it's so close. The baked πŸ¦ͺ oysters had a little bit of πŸ§„ garlic, 🧈 butter, & melted πŸ§€ cheese. Omg, they melted in my mouth πŸ‘„πŸ€€ I've been here since 03' & this was my first time here. I wish I would've tried this place sooner. It's laid back, family oriented, πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ & they do have a band like Hub's but not as loud. I mean...I can carry on a conversation & not have to yell or repeat myself πŸ˜† Overall, the place is pretty quiet compared to Hub's. The staff is friendly, attentive, personable, & made sure we had everything we needed at all times. I want to try more of they're yummy food & drink's🍷🍻 so I'll be back with family & friends to help enjoy & start new memories at "The Point Restaurant" β™₯️🦞 I can't wait till summer to check out they're patio area β›±οΈπŸ’ƒ They do allow service/working πŸ•β€πŸ¦Ί dog's but they have to ask what kind. I would call ahead to make sure they allow your type...just in case!! 🐾🐢🦴 Now I have two favorite places to go that are close to each other!! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜€

My husband and I just found this local favorite while we were in Perdido Key. I was so happy with this new find that we came back a second time during our trip. My husband got a fish Po boy both times, first time with Mahi Mahi and the second time with Red Snapper. Both sandwiches were generously sized, and looked pretty great to me. The first time he ordered the Coleslaw as a side, but it didnt seem to be quite to his liking. The first visit I ordered the Mulllet fingers, with a cup of gumbo, and a baked potato. Hands down, the best thing was the gumbo! I keep trying gumbo when we vacation in the south and thus far I haven't been able to figure what all the hype is about, but this gumbo is worth coming back for! The flavor was great, and it's so thick you almost need a fork. They say their gumbo is different from what is typical - well yea, their's is good! I enjoyed the mullet as well. As for the potato - I was kicking myself for not ordering the grits. The second time, I ordered the crab cakes with the cheesy grits. This time the cheesy grits were my favorite. I'm glad the serving of grits was generous. The crab cakes were good, but next time I think I'll have to try a PO boy, or the mullet fingers again. The hush puppies that come with the dinner platters are also very good. We'll be back next year, preferably on a Friday night, when there's the added bonus of listening to live Bluegrass music.

Let's start with the deserts. They are the great standout even though the seafood is also good.

Our large group of 7 sat at 2 tables and enjoyed a variety of deserts. My brother said the chocolate brownie sundae was delicious and it was the worst of the 3 things we tried. Gooey, scrumptious, smothered in ice cream and whipped cream. Delish!

We had never ya key lime cake and were pretty hopeful it would be great, given were in the key lime pie state. It did not disappoint. So moist and tangy, bursting with sweet key lime flavor and topped with incredible cream cheese frosting. Oh, my God! SOOOO good!

Just when we thought there couldn't be a more phenomenal desert, the fried cheesecake covered in warm praline sauce arrived. Hohhhhhhooohh! Words fit for deceiving this decadent desert escape me.

So imagine, a very good cheesecake ( this would have been great with mediocre cheesecake), rolled in crispy corn flakes and deep fried. Who thinks of these things?!?! Then smothered in warm, thick with flavor praline sauce and finished with sprinkles of oecan pieces. Deserts this good should be illegal! Y'all, I truly cannot express how phenomenal the fried cheesecake is! If his Wes anywhere close to good for me, I'd enjoy it everyday!

Oh, and the entrees were food too. Tasty hush puppies!

Not 5 stars because although the staff was friendly, the service was pretty bad. But, we will be back next year for that to...
