Carlitos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Electra

Been visiting Carlitos for years. Food always good. Have given positive reviews in past. About 3 weeks ago we visited and were very disappointed. Food was still good. Service was questionable and the place was a mess. All but one table were not cleaned, old paper napkins and chips on the floor all over the place. Filthy. The waiter was yelling into the kitchen from the dining area in some annoying argument. Waiter also shared his unsolicited anti-USA opinion which was filled with ignorant FAKE FACTS commentary. Anti POTUS, anti police, anti USA,...etc. We really did not come to dinner to listen to his opinion, let alone his ignorant rant. We went to Iowa Falls for supper...

Food was not good ,cold tortillas from a package. Rice and beans good but staff was moping because they were slow and water stunk very unpleasant. My carne gusada tasted like over cooked pork in wolf brand chili sauce. We had to ask several different people to get refill, my husband food was not good at all. Chips and salsa was ok. The ladies bathroom floor was wet with puddles of water, no wet floor sign, and if I had not been holding on to the door knob I would have fallen on my back, as it is I walk cautiously in unfamiliar places because I am disabled and walk slow. Went a few months ago & the food was great. The service was OK. After it was all said and done, I paid for my food and left, I used my credit card, mind you. I checked my bank account a couple of days later and had found that an extra $10 was tacked onto my bill! I called to get to the bottom of it and got ahold of the manager. He sent me a picture of my receipt where I'd apparently tipped $10 more than I actually had. Better yet? It was my signature. FORGED! I told them this and I was reimbursed. I was told she was fired.
