My parents ordered an order of rice, pollo Al orno, carne frita, beans, guineito and yuca and brought that feast to my house. My god was that food delicious. The carne frita was perfectly seasoned, I had a few bites while I finished blow drying my daughters hair. My parents enjoyed their meal and I can hear them tearing it up from the sala! The portions were generous and they offered my husband some. My husband served himself an extra healthy helping of all of the things. And even then there was leftovers. Nothing was missing from his plate. He took a bite and asked where they got it from and they said “el tipico Dominicano” and he said “ah por eso es” and I’m like what? He’s like they always put a little extra. Extra what you say? Protein. In the form of a cockroach. In the food. Dead. To say we all gagged is an understatement. We think it came from the beans, didn’t have the stomach to figure it out much. Leftovers went to the garbage and we all stared at each other silently for a couple of minutes. Food is delicious. If you don’t mind the extra...
Read moreWe had three food delivered so I can’t speak to the atmosphere. Although I’ve been inside in the past and it’s similar to a luncheonette . There is seating. I ordered two breakfasts ~ a fried egg which wasn’t really fried. It felt more boiled. I piece of cheese, salami which I gave to my husband. Because I’m a vegetarian. There was no option to order without. And lastly , mangu, a mashed plantain with onions in vinegar/oil . The egg was not seasoned and bland and under fried. The mangu was very pasty and not flavorful. The onions that were added had a nice light vinegar taste I would’ve preferred a little bit more taste with the vinegar oil. It was just too bland for my taste. The cheese was OK. It was fried lightly and flattened. Overall, I’m not impressed. I don’t think I would purchase here again. But they have a very extensive menu and I think you should try it not everyone’s taste the same. This is just my experience. The cost was about...
Read moreI am going to be very straight up. So I ordered baked chicken with rice and beans. Empanadas beef and chicken Cuban Sandwich. First of all the chicken was super wet with countless amount of vinegar and had onions. Second of all chicken empanadas I would get bones at ever bite Cuban sandwich was very awful, too much Mayo, wrong bread, they didn’t even use actual pernil and they would put a big chunk of ham in there. It wasn’t even a real Cuban sandwich. It was missing pickles and mustard. I have had an actual Cuban sandwich. That’s my bad impression review because I ordered her the first time today and...
